Hello hubbers. Sorry for the bad grammar but happy new year. Im using my grandmothers phone until she gets up. What is your new year's resolution for 2018. After 4 long years i finally found one, and that is to improve my behavior towards other people and be self-conscious of myself and others. I'll try to head back to college as soon as I can, but trump wont let disabled people be educated and we all know how he is. Im also trying to be less hateful towards people who i dont like, but it'll be difficult with trump and putin both running anerica into the ground. I'll also learn how to forgive myself, a feat that I have never accomplished in my nearly quarter century on this god blessed planet. Everything else is up to me, so I have my new year's resolution. I know ive asked this but whats your new year's resolution for 2018? By the way this also includes more articles to read from me typed from me. My goal is 50 by year's end.

You could also have a resolution not to bring politics into everything. Something a lot of people could improve on, I'm sure wink

In 2017, a friend of mine made a resolution to write one poem a day, and she did it! One poem a day, 365 of them. So I was inspired to start a blog and write one post a day. It also motivates me to go out and do interesting things and take more photographs.

The unfortunate thing about trying to keep Politics out of everything is that they invaded pretty well all aspects of this Life to-day. So i would advise that one should keep them in mind. Injustice progresses when no one speaks out. We may not all agree but only in openness and discussion do we come to a mutual understanding and return Justice to the people/citizens.
My Resolution is to engage in more Discussion and so create a better understanding of myself and others.  Also to double my efforts in the elimination of the greed and economic slavery of this present day society.

I'm with theraggededge and sallybea.  Write more and eat less.  I need to lose the weight I've put on since Thanksgiving.  I guess I'm back on the keto-diet, lol.

You know what? I agree with all three of you. I need to write some more articles and eat less. I've gained 4 pounds since Christmas.

Whatever you commit to, stick at it. My son recently remarked to me that the week following New Year's Day, all the fitness gyms swell with new members, but thereafter they very quickly decline in patronage.
Incidentally, I remember many years ago that it we should be saying "New Year's Resolve" instead of "New Year's resolution", since "resolution" implies it has already happened.

You know, you make a very valid point. Resolve is the proper term for this year. I haven't been able to forgive myself because I thought that I was a weak human being. No more. I am strong, and I am wiser than ever.

    Happy New Year.

I wish I could say that I resolve to be less of a snide, snarky, sarcastic @#$% in 2018, but I'd be lying. big_smile

Lol Freddy, I love your comments.  They always make me smile.  I don't generally make resolutions as I can never keep them.  Happy New Year to you too, Ivan.

A friend of mine just shared this one on Facebook.  I'm afraid it applies to me too:

"My resolution for 2018 is to accomplish the goals I set in 2017 which I should've achieved in 2016 because I didn't get them done in 2015 after promising them in 2014"

I just Googled it and it looks like it's been around for a long time, but I'd never seen it before.  I think I need to stick it up on my wall...

Hi Venkatachari M, don't you realized God may guide us into innovative ideas? If we think nothing,it is certain that we get nothing, right? So we should think something however absorb or funny!

I am with you. God gives us the guidance we need to accomplish what we plan (if it is for our Good). But we are called to some effort.

Maybe I should write more articles about Trump, even though he made it illegal to talk about him on social media.

I have some writing related goals for this year. I want to write 50 featured hubs. I also want to write a short story.

  13. profile image0
    Ivan Hernandezposted 6 years ago

Why don't I do this? I write a hub once every weekend for 12 months. that's 52 hubs. and 27+52=79. So that's more than my goal of 50.

    1. EricFarmer8x profile image62
EricFarmer8xposted 6 years agoin reply to this

Well my idea was to write at least one Hub a week. That would get my 50 Hubs in a year at least.

My resolution is to always write to bring me more and better understanding. This has been my resolution for a long time. I want to be part of the solution not contribute to the Problem.
