To Women, Being Close To A Man Means Sharing And Talking?
To Men, Being Close To A Woman Means Having Sex? What Are Your Views?
I can answer for the female part--that is a main concern in a relationship. Females want to know that men take them seriously and are not using them, but would likely like some other relationship things to happen.
Men can seem to be like you mentioned as well, but because society puts so much effort on them being that way. Some men like more than just that--after all how would a relationship progress if you never said anything to each other?
getting along is pretty much the key to any relationship and if you can't, there's no reason beat a dead horse.
I think for women the answer is most complicated, because for most of us its not a one or the other issue. If there's a lot of sharing and talking happening in a commited relationship but no sex, most women will not be happy. We want sex too! However, like the other person who answered said, many women want to know that men are taking them seriously and not using them, and the way we women do that is by talking and sharing and getting to know you an build up a layer of trust with you. The talking and sharing is often an avenue towards sex for many women, when they start to feel more intimiate emotionally with the man they are talking and sharing with. For most women emotional intimacy and physical intimacy tend to go hand in hand.
I would also argue that there's more to it for most men, especially if a man is genuinely interested in a woman for more than just a roll in the hay. Although, I am not a man, so I can't really speak for them.
Funny question but I think sex is just a matter of feeling the intense sensation of getting off not everyone loves the person they have sex with but you dont even have to be close to someone to have sex it in my opinion should be something special between a man and a woman but we all know that is not how this world works
actually that is not true---maybe when dealing with a self centered boy that may ring a bell! Ladies lets remember Men are well rounded and actually have a functioning "head" on their shoulders. Anything else isnt worth no kind of time or headache.

I agree with Laura - we want sex too! But we want to be secure about our relationship before, during and after! This is why we we will want to talk and share with our man.
women feel the need to have a connection with their partner on an emotional level. men are much more visual and physical creatures.
the most successful relationships are those where both partner respects the needs of the other.
