    What are some of your behaviours to avoid rejection.

    Most of us fear rejection and so we build mechanisms of defenceto avoid the pain.

    In a dating situation some behaviours to avoid rejection are:

    *  Staying centred - Don't appear too 'needy' or 'clingy'
    *  Being respectful in attitude and in your actions towards the other person. Including the language you use in your discussions.
    *   Don't be physically forward (don't grope!)
    *   Don't discuss emotional baggage/issues too soon.
    *   Don't call or message the other person every 10 seconds!

    You can only be true to yourself - you might be the most perfect, beautiful creature in the whole world, yet you still can't totally avoid rejection from time to time.  In that case, remember it's not you, it's the other persons loss.

    Some people reject others first, maintaining a hard front so people keep their distance. For myself, I accept the idea that people come and go, and if I accept the transient nature of relationships, I can't be hurt when they end.

    Isolation is one behavior, yet, the thing we are trying to avoid with our behaviors is often what our behaviors display "Rejection"

    Self esteem...what is your meter reading?...if your self esteem meter is reading to low...you are setting up yourself for rejection...and you will be encouraging your partner not to only reject you...but to also take advantage of you.
