Is 2012 simply hype and fiction?

Recently I watched a program which is like a preview of 2012. One moment they are talking pandemic. Then they talk about meteors with fire raining down on the earth. After that they talk about a flood that would challenge Noah. When they began talking 2029 I stopped watching because if everything ends in 2012, there will be no 2029! How did these people get the inside scoop on what only God the Father knows. Do they believe the Mayans more than God?

No one knows for sure, but there are many theories. I'll let you know in 2013.

Well, one disaster sure to occur is that there will be an election.  A corporate statist totalitarian will be elected President.  The only question is will he/she be a Democrat or Republican.

I think there is definite science behind the date 12/12/2012 but no one knows exactly what will take place on that date. The only thing for sure that is known about that date is that the Milky Way will be perfectly aligned with the center of the earth and that only occurs every 26,000 years or so and that's our due date.

A lot of people - as for example myself - are atheists. There is certainly an apocolypse coming - but it'll be man made and caused by inept diplomacy.

The Mayan calendar and 2012 is just a ploy to get people to buy books.

Still, it's interesting to read about Mayan culture, if you don't get caught up in the fantasy.
