The easiest way you can earn money through Hubpages is by signing up for Google Adsense and link your Adsense account to Hubpages so that you can earn money from clicks on your ads that show up. Of course, since Hubpages is an revenue-sharing site so you would get about 60% of the ad impressions whereas Hubpages gets the rest.  Therefore, if someone clicks on an AD when it's one of your impressions, you get paid for it. You can also earn money using the Amazon capsules, eBay, Kontera, etc. But Adsense is the easiest to setup and earn. Here is a link with the details of how to set up http://hubpages.com/faq/#adsense

In your profile you say "A few clicks on random stuff never hurt anyone..." but I would like to point out that if you are trying to earn money on this site, random stuff is notoriously low-earning.

You'll want to read the three below links to get yourself started.  They will explain how the site works, and how to get yourself on track.

Well since you do not have to pay for any hosting or domain costs, not to mention not having to pay any advertising fees, pretty much anything you make here at hubpages can be considered pure profit from a financial standpoint.

Of course if you are going to calculate your time you are going to be surprised. It is important to remember that you can profit from your hubs for months and even years after you write them--so today's time expense will be tomorrows monetary gain.

At least thats how I look at it.
