   I have been on for 2 weeks now and I have had no revenue at all from any of the affilates... not even a penny! Is this possible? Is the problem my content? How do I fix this problem?

      It's normal I'm afraid. I have been on here one more week than you and it's the same for me :9 no money at all. I hope that changes for the both of us soon. Just keep posting your hubs and hopfeully traffic will pick up on your page and money will start coming.

         It isn't a problem, it's just the way it is. Don't ask me why, but everyone has the same experience - for the first three months, nothing happens.  I had 55 Hubs written in my first month, and it made no difference.  And it took me about 10 months to reach my first payout - which again, is not unusual.  These days I cash out every month. 
         
         It takes patience.

      maybe there things you missed that you dont know of but its still not your fault check this hub I'm sure it will help you.

      Since you are a sage here at Hubpages what can I do to speed up the process of making money? I don't plan on being a millionaire I just want to see a number other than zero. I'm trying to add more Hubs, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it is going slower then I would like...I've found a few tid bits of wisdom on some of the other Hubbers pages, but it would be nice to have some insight from you.

         The number one thing you need to do if you're going to make money on this site is be patient.  Thinking that in just two weeks and with six hubs you're going to be earning is unrealistic.  Hell, the search engines barely know you exist. 
         
         As for Hub advice, it's right out in the open for anyone who wants to read it.

   yes very normal 7 months not even 10 doallrs yet but stared to do one hub every day based on keywords and search something i have been lacking so we shall see

   I think it's pretty normal for all bloggers. Just like artists, photographers and all in arts and literature, we can't expect to make really big money out of what we do. Most searchers simply click on our contents and once they don't like it, they will go away without even looking at the monetizing parts of our work.

    I've been here for almost a year and a half and am about 63 cents from earning my first $100 payout. (Man, those last few cents come slow).
    
    I did not start out to earn anything, just wanted to share some writings. In the meantime, I learned some things that started making my hubs grab a dollar or two. I now know a lot more about monetizing, but have not put most of it into practice.
    
    In the past few months, I have seen my hub views and earnings grow, and am interested to see if I can boost this "side effect" up a bit.  In the meantime I have enjoyed the experience and the people here.
    
    Some who come in for the sole purpose of earning quickly are disappointed. I would say-- keep the day job, and inch your way up.
    Persistence pays.  Not a heck of a lot, but it does, at least improve.  Those who apply themselves diligently (as I have not) do better, but everyone "pays their dues" in time, patience and learning the process.
    
    Now... what will I do with that first $100?

       Rochelle, I am the same.  And I go through spurts of deciding I should do this for the money...particularly when I hear somebody is making $100's or $1000's per month and I know it is doable.  But...I have a full time job, in marketing, , and sometimes I just don't feel like working ALL the time.
       
       What I'm surprised with for myself is taking a look at my Amazon sales.  Without really trying, I've really racked up a bunch...although the actual payout is a little bit to be desired.  I'm thinking that books (or other things) could pay, especially if one were to concentrate on that area a bit.

    I also started writing here for the simple pleasure of writing.
    Understanding the bonus bucks can be difficult.  It doesn't happen overnite.  I'm learning as I go and enjoying the community.

    My earnings are little at the very moment as well, but I'm optimistic. I learnt from this forum that the most important thing is PAITENCE. Relax and receive fun from communication here and writing!
