Absolutely. I buy all my gadgets, gizmos and tech-stuff from Amazon and eBay. I like shopping better this way (it's usually also cheaper than a brick and mortar store).

Yep. I'm always a bit wary the first time I buy from a new place, but trusted sites like Amazon and other popular but niche sites I frequent have never let me down. Over this past holiday season I must've bought dozens of things online. My only suggestion is that if you're buying from someplace smaller and less well-known, do a little research online to make sure they're reliable.

Just as much as I trust handing over a credit card to a person at the cash register who I'm not certain has a grasp of basic math and may have recently been released from prison! smile

I purchase things almost exclusively online.

Buying online is usually only a problem if you buy from smaller disreputable sites. I try to stay away from personal vendors but I do trust large sites like Amazon. Shopping online is a great way to save some money!

Yes I trust buying online, shopping online is a very convenient and affordable way to make some purchases. But as always there are guys who are willing to scam you your hard earned  dollar online. The best way to avoid this is to stick with reputable companies such as amazon and ebay, they pretty have everything you might need.

I have had success buying electronics and software online.  I use AMEX and Paypal and these resources assist when there is an issue.

Off certain sites I do. When I use sites like game trading zone I try to get to know people from their forum posts before I trade or buy from them so I at least have somewhat of an idea how the transaction will go.

Yes, purchasing something online has become very safe over the years. It is very easy and very same. This, of course, is because I have not had a problem with online shopping. Some people have had a lot of problems, and therefore, do not trust it at all. It is some personal preference, but is mostly safe.

It will take some time to gain trust for online shopping! Once you have it, then it will be quite convenient to buy online.

    hi,
bought a car online from the Province of Quebec, we live in Alberta, cost was over 10,000 Canadian, was a great experience. Bought a quality diamond ring online, a few thousand, no problem whatsoever. Buy a lot of clothing online, and I intend to do some more browsing/shopping online today.
All of the experiences I listed we did not have any issues with, I find the only time there are problems are with those places like say those smaller social sites, they seem to change their tune every month or so. goes from a one time fee to a yearly fee without even notifying you. Have disputed a couple of charges from this type of site in the past and most times the funds were returned to my account, only one time it wasn't. It was $19.00 so I did not fret about it too much.
We did save a lot of money by buying the auto online and having it shipped here by train, around $4,000. We did check out several car dealers in Calgary and the online site had the best price, so we bought there.
As to the ring, that is a once in a lifetime purchase and we saved a lot of money on that one as well, of course we bought from an online jeweler that we had thoroughly researched, not Bob's back room wholesale joint. Checked out reviews on the company and all. Went ahead when we felt confident.

Definitely yes because it can save our precious time. I recently purchased the diamond ring online from the Quantum International Diamonds in the UK and they offered me the best services.
