   Only to a limited point.
   
   Opposites may attract, but it's the compatibility that will keep the relationship together.
   
   I consider the differences to be the spice of a relationship.  It is what makes us individuals in a relationship and should be welcomed and nurtured.

   I think it is true to a certain extent.  I can only think how boring a relationship would be if both people were the same in personality and responses to things.  I like fire and ice and I think that is part of the appeal and why it seems true--we are looking for something outside ourselves and hopefully while different we can be compatible.

   I must say that I do.......WHY?!?! because when two opposites are attracted to each other it's usually because they see something or things in the other individual that will complete, drive and energize them.  It's like finding a cure for an illness you no longer want to endure.  Your outlook, thoughts, intentions and life begins to go in a different direction.  Now when two opposites connect that is like heaven on earth, nothing can stop them, a force to be reckoned with because they have become one!  Instinctively giving and taking......an unconditional balance that is universally complete.

   It's true to a certain extent. I find that opposites most often attract when people feel the need to compensate through others in areas where they feel they may be lacking or uncomfortable. It's not always about dependency, though. Sometimes people just want a little exposure. The factors influencing the intensity and duration of the attraction are much more complex and interesting subjects to explore.

   Opposite as in types of personality I would say that is correct. If one is laid back and the other is more A-type, or agressive, then it is possible. If you are referring to opposite points of view or beliefs then no I do not. You have to care and share the same things or it will not take long before you are not wanting to be contradicted at every turn. My grandparents were married for 55 years and I watched them enough to see that they were complete opposites in personalities but when it came down to it...she told him what to think and he let her...W

   I do believe that opposites attract, but they don't necessarily stay together for long if they can't learn to compromise on their differences. At least from my personal experience.

   Yes, I believe opposites attract. Personality wise I think each person has to find something that they don't have in their significant other or partner at the time.
   Putting 2 people with the exact same personalities can be awry and get ugly pretty quick, but that doesn't mean it always happens.
   The second part to this is the physical appearance. I don't believe that opposites attract so much in that manner. A girl who is consider gorgeous probably wont be found attracted to a guy who is consider not so flattering on the eyes or vise versa.

    it's true so often. my wife is an ex- menonite and i'm an ex street kid. we have little in common from our pasts but we get along great.

    People are looking for reasons and tendencies for the question why they like somebody. So if you wonder why two people like each other there are simply just 2 Options.
    
    Option 1: You are the Opposite of the other Person
    Option 2: You are the Same as the other Person
    
    Both does not really matter, when you like each other but you will probably say: "Oh we fit together to well because we are so different, which makes it interesting".
    On the other side you can also say: "We fit together so nicely because we have so much in common"
    
    Both depends just on the relationship you have to the other Person and the rest you will figure whether you are the opposite or the same does not really matter anymore but you will always look for an explanation, why you are attracted to somebody.

    I do believe in this saying because it's true.
    My best friend is Eleana. Her style is very modern, with a edgy twist. She is sweet and loud and listens to latin music.
    I on the other hand have a shabby chic, vintage style. I listen to Christian rock. She is my best friend, my soul mate. Other then my fiance of course.

    Oh yes, I definitely believe this saying! My husband and I are as opposite as night and day.  The real challenge is making the differences work instead of dividing you.  Even when opposites draw together, they are like magnets turned the wrong way when they push away from each other.  Often the opposite personality traits that brought you together in the first place, might just be what breaks you apart.

    well an obvious case is the north and south magnent attraction theory......life is generally living under these principles......2 people with diffient characters and behavours are closer than 2 that are not.....is God's perfect way of makin a balance

    I think to a certain point opposites attract because it makes the person feel complete in areas of life they might not feel secure in but it's all about how compatible you are with each other when it comes down to it.

    To be honest, people who are very alike attract each other. In most cases, people break up because of each other's problems. If those who have similar personalities seem to stay together.

    Yes, I do believe this to be true, but like any other relationship, if you don't work at keeping the spark alive, in the end, it will fail.
