Is Jesus the only way to God? What if someone has never heard of Jesus but is seeking after God until they die?

I believe everyone will be judged accordingly, b/c I believe God is just and fair. I believe God testifies of himself and salvation even in his creation. Christ died for them, as much as he did us. Scripture also tells us in the most well known verse John 3:16 that God doesn't want anyone to perish. There is no one that he does not want to be saved, He does not want to see anyone reject His salvation. The requirement for salvation has always been faith. The object of one's faith for salvation has always been God, and the way of salvation made through Christ. I tend to equate people in the depths of the jungle  with the OT believers. God's requirement of what must be believed is based on the amount of revelation He has given mankind up to that time. God knows exactly how much has been revealed to each individual. Someone once told me there was only about 5% of the world that had not heard of Jesus Christ, so 95% of the world has had Jesus Christ revealed to them and while the other 5% has not, they have had God revealed to them, through their heart and creation. I believe people have an inner awareness not only of God's existence but of their imperfection and need to be made right. They may not know the terminology or names for this, but they still have the ability to call out to the "creator of creation" (although they may not know his name - not the creation but the creator) and ask forgiveness for what they know they have done wrong.

“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe” (Hebrews 1:1-2)

I have no doubt God works the same way in the depths of the jungle. He brings missionaries, prophecies, and calls out to people through his creation and in their hearts.

In directly quoting scripture, in John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.No one comes to the Father except through me."  In the OT,Deuteronomy 4:29, "But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul." I do believe that God would reveal Himself to the heart of anyone genuinely seeking Him. I also agree with what pwfaith stated.

From a average person point of view, it is impossible to know about God and not know about Jesus. In the Bible there are people who seek God and know about Jesus but they do not acknowledge Jesus as his Son. That is part of the reason Jesus was crucified on the cross.

But back to your question. God will make himself known when all people, dead and alive have been given an opportunity to accept or reject him. Those who accept God can only do it through his Son Jesus. The Bible says Jesus is the way and only way to receive God. Yes, Jesus is the only way to God.

    @ JDeAngelis
I understand your point. However, as I understand it, Jesus IS God, he is not just some intercessor that is apart from God himself. He is the revelation of God to man. A much more personal God than Allah.

I personally am not sure if God allows anyone into heaven without Jesus or not. I get the point of being judged only by what we have been exposed to but how is that fair? everyone has different backgrounds, level of exposure etc. I think i am leaning more towards that God has chosen some for salvation and passed by others. Romans 8:28-31. and so, in his providence he has placed the ones that he has chosen for salvation in a proper place in life to receive Him. I'm not completely sure on this though... any thoughts?

Are you sure there is a God or a Jesus? Why, cause there is a book? I thinkm that would need to be answered before a search can begin. And that answer is only within ones self

I don't think Jesus is the link and see no reason why (as I do) you talk with God, having said that the Holy Trinity is based on The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost are all one anyway.
