Is anyone making their living off of Hubpages?
Has anyone been able to quit their day job and actually make a living off of HubPages? It seems like a tall order, but some Hubbers seem quite successful.
I did fairly well prior to panda. Post panda, it has been a struggle.
However, hubpages is not my only form of affiliate marketing but it was the largest percentage prior to panda.
Could you please expand on this panda situation? I am pretty new to HubPages. Thanks.
I am not but I've heard of a few people who were really close to making a living off hubpages prior to panda. Haven't heard about them after the panda update.
However, many people make a living by working online, they divide their eggs in various baskets.
I don't but I'm new and haven't made many hubs yet. But not getting a lot of traffic like some are either
I am newer to hub pages, so I have only posted a couple hubs for my website. I like hub pages because if you ask a question, there are so many active people that take the time to answer your question. So here goes I have a question, what is panda?
well i don't. i don't think its easy to earn online jsut by writing hubs or posting some articles. its hard to earn these days and my suggestion would be to join a few sites rather than working on a single site for you bread and butter
I never will be able to live of my earning as I am making just about a few cents. I wish anyone who has managed it good luck.
rock_nj and MyFavoriteBedding , this page should explain you something about Panda update: http://www.webanswers.com/_clrc0hdv/tec … nda-34be10
The post is from WebAnswers which is also a Google AdSense revenue sharing website (60%). It is an awesome question-answer website where you can earn money by asking and answering questions.
Making a living off of HubPages is possible but not easy. As far as I "forecast", it takes at least 100 quality, original, well researched and insightful hubs to make money so as to replace you day job. HubPages also does not recommend anyone to quit their day job and write hubs. HubPages earnings are simply supplement to your income. While you can make living off of it, its not guaranteed and easy.
The main thing to remember here is about AdSense. A tiny mistake and your account is gone. Don't put all your eggs in a single basket. Grow your blogs and websites while also writing for HubPages. Write for other websites which pay via Chitika, Infolinks or even direct methods like Check. Write for eHow and about (dot) com.
I have earned about $3 in the three weeks I've been here. That is actually more than I make on another site where my content is limited. I guess I believe that any income I get directly from hub pages is icing on the cake. I'm really here because I enjoy the community and I can share just about anything I think is worthy.
I definitely knew of a number of hubbers who made very good money off hubpages (2k+ a month) but that was prior to panda...so I'm not sure how they're doing now. Either way, as people have said, if you want to live off risidual income on the internet, you need to have a number of sites that will all add up to a decent amount.
I'm not making much - but it's nice to earn for a hobby and a passion. I'm just not making enough to cover any expenses, really.
Oh, I suppose I'm not trying hard enough. Whatever.
Pre Panda I knew of several folks who I'm sure made their living mostly off of HP, but not now.
There were some very successful hubbers before the new Google algorithm (Panda) hit Hubpages. I suppose there are still a few who are earning a living here in Hubpages, not too many left, but there are many who are making enough money to meet payout threshold every month. I've been here seven months, and I've just received my first paycheck from Google Adsense and HP Ads last month. I have not written anything for more than a month now, but my earnings on both Google Adsense and HP Ads continue to build up. There are a few students here in HP who are earning enough money to pay for their college education. I'm sure with hard work, anything is possible. Me? I'm just thrilled to see a few cents turn to a dollar to a hundred dollars. I'm still amazed.
As everyone else here has already said - don't put all your eggs in one basket - think of HP as that supplemental income. Always retain a full time job. I have been on HP for relatively short time but have realized its potential,so will continue to write and publish to earn that extra paycheck but will not give up my day job any day soon.
Also diversify and look at other methods like your own blog and other article directories.
I would like to get paid by Hub Pages by check, until I can find a payment processor that will pay me on behalf of Hub Pages. I have tried Google Adsense without success. Please, I WILL TAKE CHECKS FOR NOW..Thanks

I know people make decent money on HubPages some even in the thousands, but I was wondering if anyone makes a living off just HubPages?I realize a-lot of people wont say what they earn(and I don't blame them) but I think it will help motivate and inspire people new and old on HubPages to know that...

I see a lot of advice from hubpage members on hubs, questions, and forum posts and the common advice seems to be to write a lot of hubs. No problem. I am writing a decent amount of hubs on technology, nutrition, and entertainment, but does anyone actually work full time and earn a full time living...

I know, I know, these kind of generic questions are asked too often. Believe me, I tried to look for an answer before posting it in here, but couldn't find one.So here it goes - Is there any one who is making more than $200 here? How much time did it take you to get there? Thank you in advance for...

Does anyone make around $400/month each month on HP?I'm hoping to be able to one day earn at least $400/month on HP and I realise I'm going to have to write hundreds of hubs to do this. I'm just wondering if anyone still earns that much on HP since the Panda update? I'd love to hear from people who...

What do you want to know about off-grid living and living a self-sufficient lifestyle?I am about to begin my next batch of articles about my experiences living off the grid. I know lots of people cover issues from a 'theoretical' viewpoint, and many hubs provide good information. To be most...
