Is it ok for you best friend to date your ex?
My ex and I broke up because he didn't tell me how he really felt and was too sexual. My BFF knew this at the time of the break up and now they like each other. While he and I were dating (on and off for a year) they would hang out with and without me being present. Come to find out he was happy that we broke up considering her liked someone and would feel bad if he ended it. He said he didn't even like me and I dont want her to be played like I was but she says he truly cares for her . I feel betrayed by both of them and they both lied. Should I be her friend anyway or drop both of them?
I definitely say stop worrying about your ex. It sounds like he treated you poorly, and it was good for both of you that you broke up. It hurts when any relationship ends, so expect to be sad and upset about it for a while. You should also know that healing will come with time. You will move on, feel good again, and find someone who is better for you!
As far as your friend goes, you need to talk to her and do some serious soul searching. Do you think you could really be friends with her while she was dating him? Imagine the types of conversations best friends have...how are you going to feel when she is gushing about her boyfriend? If that kind of thing is going to bother you, you need to tell her. I would not make her choose between you and him, but let her know you might need to put some distance in the friendship if she decides to date him.
Good luck to you!
SOo not!...R>E>S>P>E>C>T...why is she your best friend in the first place anyway?
It sounds like (you dumped him) because he did not live up to your standards.. If that is the case then it shouldn't matter if your friend wants your left overs! If you throw something in the trash or recycle bin it's a waste of time and emotion worrying about another person coming along to claim it. In all honesty (most relationships don't last) especially those formed in our youth. It's no coincidence that most people don't end up marrying their high school sweethearts. It takes a while to figure out who you are, what you want and need in a mate.
If your friend is aware of his "negatives" but is still willing to go for it then it's on her if she winds up getting hurt.
Life is a personal journey. We all have to learn our own lessons.
The only way I could see this being a big deal is if you thought he was "the one" you wanted to spend your life with and (he dumped you) However that is not the case.
By the way there is no such thing as being "too sexual".
However it is possible for two people to not be "sexually compatible". Sex drives vary from person to person.
Instead of being concerned about your friend and your ex you should be out there dating and getting to know guys who are what you want.
No, it's not okay for your best friend to date your ex. And since she's your best friend you should make that clear to her. Otherwise drop the both of them like you said.
