   When you say single person do you mean one who hasn't got kids or is the single person about to date someone in a relationship with kids?
   
   As with most things in life it boils down to what you are willing to accept. The kid thing shouldn't be an issue although I know of a few incidents where the children have done their utmost to sabotage relationships. If you don't have kids you should understand that most parents would put their children first.
   
   I guess that could put a strain on things. But with clear communication most things shouldn't be a problem. Just have to be a bit more understanding as there are a few more souls involved.

   It depends on the person they are dating, their kids behavior & ages, and the single parent exes/extended family. The less drama there is in any dating situation the better it is.
   
   In th past I have dated several women with kids. The women who dated for the purpose of enjoying a little adult time away from their kids were easier to date than those in search of a father for their children.
   
   Dating is suppose to be a fun casual way for two people to get to know each other better. If things turn "serous" (naturally) overtime that's great. However trying to force something or dating "with a purpose" can push away most people early on.

   Thanks for your comment AngelTrader. Yes, I am talking about a single person with no kids. You' hit it on the nose- communication is everything.
   
   Dashing Scorpio- that's a good way to look at it. Dating should be about two people getting to know each other until or if it evolves to "meeting the family". Great perspective.

   it depends on what you're looking for,if they do have children you have to beware of the children's feelings as well,but you have to remember that they-the children may have a close relationship with their other parent and may feel that one day both parents will get back together.in most cases it wont happen so the kids are left wishing on a shooting star.if you're willing then go for it.

   I've dated a few guys with kids.  It wasn't hard, it was still about what the person was like to date.  That's what mattered.
