   Reading a book, always.  Sometimes I'm not able to read so I'll put a movie on, but I always prefer books.  I'm a junkie.

   When one watches TV after about 15 or 20 minutes their brain goes into a sub-trance- fall asleep on the sofa is a good example. Very suggestible for anything subliminal  to slip in. Contra -wise when reading the brain creates new neural pathways which is very good. Read and you think and imagine images- watch too much TV and the thinking and imaging is done for you.

   Reading a book opens the doors of my imagination, I will not receive the media I will make it inside, I choose my colours, my sound system, etc.

   I think it depends on the book and the movie...I read about one book a week, but in the off chance I catch a good movie on TV, I'll watch that to give my eyes a rest.

   It's tough to choose one. But, lately I've been indulged in books, having lots of research to do and not enough time to sit back and watch TV.

   I can do both and usually simultaneously. There are times when I'm just in a "hit me with the highlights" kind of mood.

   It really depends! It's never an either/or choice for me. If I'm on vacation or relatively free, I love immersing myself in a good book and soak every word. But if I just want to take my mind off things and take a break, I’d watch a movie. Generally the books always better than the movie

    I love both, but reading a book is so much better because you get so many more details out of it! In a movie things are compressed to the action only. That is why books that are made into movies often cut so many things out.

    I will naturally gravitate towards a good book. Now that I have a Kindle reader I find I'm reading a lot more and not just works by my favorite authors. I am exploring more of the classics and other genres. I love the way my imagination can bring the words to life and how some writers challenge my way of thinking. I don't find that a movie will do the same for me...my mind enjoys the moment and moves on, while a good book will give me food for thought days after.
