Isn't it strange that we just celebrated the 10-day holiday "Diwali" in India, also called "The Festival of Lights?" And, Hanukkah has always been called, "The Festival of Lights." While Kwanzaa also Lights Up The Room and many Light up their Christmas tree.

The common thread to bring "Light Unto This World" means we should start respecting each other, treat others with compassion and kindness, and do not do unto others that which you would not like done unto you. Simply start thinking of our actions in an ethical and moral way to bring in the LIGHT! Blessings, Debby

On Christmas Eve 1915, German soldiers in the western front trenches sang Christmas carols as so brought about a short truce to the hostilities of the first world war.  On Christmas Eve 1995 in the Algerian village of Tribhirine, a group of Muslim terrorists, intent on violence to the monks of the monastery of Our Lady of the Atlas Mountains, left in peace, acknowledging the religious significance of the Christian feast day.  For me Christmas means the possibility of forgiveness and reconciliation and new beginnings in hope.
