    Does satan really exist?

Do you believe that the concept of SATAN is a myth and allegory,or is a sentinint being and adversary of a diety creator?

As an atheist I don't believe in any gods, including Satan.
But evil does exist and there are people who are pure evil.
I am always amused to the reactions of Christians to the old song Sympathy for the Devil. I know some who will run wildly to turn it off.
But if you listen to it what it says is that the devil has, and will, appear in many forms and in many faces and that refusing to recognize it is the same as allying to it.
Really a far more moral message than any Bible hymn I have ever heard, not that I have heard that many.
So in the Biblical context no I don't believe in Satan, but I recognize evil when I see it and I never turn a blind eye to it.

I don't believe that evil comes from any single source. I comes to every land, every group or religion and doesn't seem to have any constants or commonality. Mostly there are sociopaths who have no moral values and only want to cause pain for gain

I totally believe he exists.  Ask people who are involved in witchcraft, satanism, etc.  They've had contact with him and/or his demons.  There is a documentary that I think is SOOOO interesting and really shows "evil" for what it is.  It is intense, but is not toooo scary (I don't like watching horror movies or anything like that).  The director goes into all these different places in the world where there is evil of one kind or another and he interviews those involved, including a girl who was groomed to be a "bride of Satan."  She tells her story about what her life was like and what happened and how she got set free of that.  The director wants to know if good triumphs over evil and he gets it all on film.  Amazon has it on instant video for $2.99 to rent or you can purchase for more.  Watching that will answer your question better than my words can.  Hope you get the chance to watch it!  Here is the link:

As a Pagan, I don't believe in Satan, I don't believe in a Heaven or a Hell. I don't believe in truly evil or truly good. It's impossible for anyone to be such, even the Gods themselves. Check out their mythology. Oh, and @ Seek-n-Find: I practice witchcraft. It's what I do; I'm a witch. But if you find Paganist witches, they usually don't believe in any one Devil and they certainly don't summon demons willingly since they cause mayhem and tragedy. Seeing as the Witches' Creed is: An ye do no harm, do what ye will, summoning demons is pretty much strictly against the rules. No offense taken or anything, I'm just saying, leave the innocent witches out of that whole thing.

The concept of a fallen angel created by God who somehow manifested into the root of all evil despite the fact that our benevolent God knew it was going to happen before he created him? No, not really ;S

I'm an atheist, a humanist so for me there is the same chance of there being Satan in Hell as there is of meeting your god at the bus stop.

Yes, Satan is a real being.  He was created a beautiful angel, but because of his pride, he was cast out of Heaven.  He is the "prince of darkness".  He is not a myth or allegory at all.  I know people make fun and say he is not real, but he is. As Seek-n-Find said, ask the people involved in witchcraft and satanism.  They will tell you that he exists.  Those who reject God will be thrown into Hell where Satan is.  You can laugh, and you can vote my answer down, but the fact that Satan is a real being doesn't change.

I am of the opinion that Satan is a myth although who really knows, maybe the people sacrificing virgins to him know best, who knows.......
