    We use rain barrels to collect water to water the garden. Last year in Texas it was really hard as we had a terrible drought but they are once more full. Great topic...

    Try to minimize use of paper- by opting for e-bills and reading news in the internet, internet banking etc. Minimize usage of plastic carry bags, by always carrying around jute shoppers.
    Planting trees in the monsoon seasons, in the neighborhood. Usually by getting the local clubs to organize for special 'go green' days.
