Why is it so hard to get Fan Mail?
It appears that many people rank low in fan mail response numbers on their accolades, and no matter how long they've been on hubpages. Why aren't people ranking their fellow hubbers much, while leaving fan following responses, does anyone know? Do you truly give credit where its due?
I have writing experience, so I have no problem encouraging others to write. Maybe people feel that I am too generous with the "useful," "awesome," and "interesting". This is all we have to work with. If you get my attention, and your work is interesting, why shouldn't I tell you why I like it? Why shouldn't I give you a vote up? But that's me. Sometimes people will answer me with a "Thank you for being kind." No, I'm not being kind. If I like what I read, I usually bookmark it and give thanks where thanks is due. I am hoping, by doing this, the writer will be encouraged to write more articles. Simple as that. I can't speak for the others.
Those who post fan mail , Receive it.
And as for scores and accolades
The same would apply, Rather simple.
Encouraging others, using the voting system and ranking hubs as interesting, useful, etc. Isn't that what a good online writing community is all about? If the Hub I'm reading motivates me, I will definitely respond. I use fan mail when the Hubs I have read warrant it. Just my opinion.

Might be a brain fart here, but I have a couple of fans I'd like to leave fan mail for...how do you find that option? TX in advance.

Some people have over a thousand followers and have just recently joined say 4 months ago, seems skiddish. what gives.

When I get a notification that someone has posted new fan mail and I click on the link it goes to a list of my fan mail which appears to be in reverse chronological order. The new fan mail isn't even there! I have tried looking on every page of my fan mail. The new fan mail isn't on the first page...

I come across a lot of interesting Hubs and I would like to know how to post "Fan mail". When I reading something interesting I will click, "helpful" or "funny" depending on that Hub. Please let me know how to do this. Thanks

There should be a tab for sent messages or sent fan mail. I cannot find this anywhere on the site. Thanks!

I would like to see an indication on the Home Page (I use the standard) if someone leaves fan mail (or joins as a follower), a notification similar to comments left would be nice. You typically do not see this, or at least I don’t, until you open the fan mail box in “my account” or happen to see it...
