   In my opinion I have lived it everyday for the last seven years, having reached the bottom of human existence after 27 years of alcohol and drug abuse.
   
   I achieved faith, sobriety, a college education, a spiritual awakening of the educational variety and a educational awakening of the spiritual variety.
   
   I have continued to keep an open mind and expanded my awareness, while learning to trust my heart and letting my soul shine.
   
   So the answer would be . . . yes!

   Just before Christmas several years ago, my teenage son survived a car crash he shouldn't have. The car he was riding in was totally destroyed.
   
   The emergency services first on scene didn't think he had survived when they looked at the carnage inside the vehicle, and waited until the fire department came to foam down the fuel from the ruptured tank before retrieving his body.
   
   But he wasn't dead.
   
   Nevertheless, he was taken to hospital, and we got the late night call that every parent dreads.
   
   It was such an unexplainable event, and had such an enormous impact on our family that I wrote a Hub about it (a bit long, three parts..).  Many people who read the story expressed their opinion that it constituted a miracle; and that 'angels were clearly present'.
   
   Miracle is a very strong word. But I certainly felt then, and always will, that something far bigger than all of us had a hand in the outcome.

   For those who believe in the possibiity of miracles, there are Miracles and then there are miracles. Instant healing of a man born blind from his youth and the turning of water into wine were Miracles. Events that seem to have no explanation other than supernatural interventions into the normal cause and effect course of life,  such as escapes from death or mind boggling achievments, would be miracles. Though I have known many people of high credibility and integrity who say they have witnessed Miracles I personally have not. But I can recount at least a dozen instances of miracles that are the only way I can explain why I am still alive.

    No. I don't believe in miracles; I do believe miraculous events have happened, or events that occur without any reasonable explanation. Perhaps I just question the definition. Who knows? Not I.

    I don't witness it as I have encountered a miracle.
    
    I had said this before as I was hit by a car and flown up in the air before landing on the road. I guessed I was supposed to be dead but I am not. I do believe that I was given a second chance with this miracle.

    Here it is. My miracle, witnessed is my daughter's birth. She is my only child, born premature with no hope to survive even to birth. Has had epilepsy and now none and is now headed to college. If I had had other chidren, perhaps this may not seem so big an event to others, but I had lost one prior to her from miscarriage and two (twins) after her due to the same. I will never be able to PROVE a miracle to someone who has no belief in them.

    Miracles are kind of hard to define.
    
    I thought it was kind of miraculous that I was in a major car accident and walked away without even a scratch. Was it a miracle? I'm not sure, but I was sure happy to be alive and told the Almighty how grateful I was on many occasions!  :0)
