On arriving in heaven, which friends / family members do you think will be waiting for you?
(The logical "flip" side to Peggy W's question about who YOU want to see first.)
You mean we are stuck with the same ones? We can't start over? Can you imagine? Seventh grade all over again - forever. Same Queen Bees controlling the social world even in heaven? Yikes!
There is no heaven or hell. These are only symbolic terms. This life is heaven or hell.At least Sikhism does not believe in these concepts.Heaven or hell is state of one's mind.
Oh but we CAN start over with new players, peanutroaster! But the question was (basically) 'WHO can't let go of you?'. ;D
Ah yes.....but I'm expecting my Queen Bees to be enlightened and we will discuss the lessons we both learned from our actions and reactions. Leastways......that's what I'm hoping.
if I make, my mother may and a few friends I have met along the way...maybe you!!!LOL I also hope to see my kids, my hubby and siblings, though if they are rules to getting their, some of them may not make it! I you asked me about the other place, I may have a more defined list!!!LOL
My grandmother, the person I admire most. My sister, whom I have never met but is probably the opposite of my living sister. My other grandmother who I never met. And two of my aunts.
Doesn't your god decide who goes to heaven and who doesn't? Aren't you jumping the gun a little here? Maybe your god doesn't like presumptious people or being taken for granted. Just because a person qualifies for entrance into the Elysian Fields (the ancient Greek concept of Heaven plagiarized by Christianity) does it necessarily follow that admittance is guaranteed? You guys seem to think that your religion is about setting your own exam paper and then marking your own answers. What happened to judgment?
I know two for certain, my heavenly brothers Jesus and Holy Spirit will be first in line to greet me.
If i say who "I" think will be in heaven or hell, it is another way of implying my decision of the type of person they are, and so, i will not make this decision into a supposedly harmless opinion, although it is a nice thought to think who may accompany you to heaven.
My Dad would be waiting for me, ready to embrace me with open arms. We'd walk heaven's highways, talking about everything under the sun.
He would be the first one I would want to see, because losing him was such a hard thing. But I am sure he would say, "Daughter, there will be endless time for you and I to talk and spend time together," and he would urge me to go to my Grandparents home in heaven and give them love. His mother and dad, and my mother's dad too. My Aunty Beverly would be there waiting to embrace me. And truly my great grandmother Francis would be waiting for me too. Ah, the thought of seeing them all again is bittersweet. It's hard missing those I love.
Grandparents for sure "you made it!" Dad for sure "What took you so long? Did you stop at Starbucks?" and others "hey - what's up?" Then run into each other every now and then, like people in town at the grocery store. Sounds alright to me.
Unless you truly learnt the lesson on earth otherwise we will likely to be reborn again on earth to go through life in cycle.
I do believe our departed friends / family members would have reincarnated unless they have become the guardian angels or spirit beings to welcome us before reborn.
I always ask the question of what is the ultimate lesson we are here to learn before becoming or living in spirit plane.
I think I would be just as shocked to see many of my relatives in Heaven as they would be.
Having said that, I know for sure that my Grandmother will be there. She was the best person I have ever known and the most devout Christian I have ever known.

Why are there spirits roaming the earth? Does this means that there is no heaven or hell?

Is hell real to you? If so, what do you think it will be like?I wrote a little about what I thought hell might be like (http://hubpages.com/hub/Afraid-of-the-Dark) but wondered what others would have to offer. Maybe you don't believe in hell and want to share what you believe happens...
