Which is easier for you to write: poetry, articles or fiction?

For myself, I find it easier to write poetry and the hardest to write science fiction.

    How about you?

It used to fiction but my writers brain stopped. Now I write poetry more easily (sometimes).

Poetry..I only tried when I was in High School, and once in college and once a few years ago..it is not easy for me..it never was..
Fiction, it comes..in the form of short stories..
I do not know enough science fiction to write about it...

Me neither, science fiction needs an awful lot of research.
I used to childrens stories with animals talking like us and I miss writing.

I'm finding it harder to write fiction the longer I write it on Hubpages, at first I could turn out a chapter every four days, now it's longer than a week.  Maybe that is just natural.

      @msorensson
Yep, and at the rate I'm going 1200 words will take a whole month by this Christmas. I'm hoping I'm just lacking in time management skills, or I just need more focus.

      I'm crossing my fingers. wink

Poetry is much easier because a fiction is usually much longer and you need a good plot.  Articles are harder to write because you have to do a lot of research or know the subject very well.

Poetry is the easiest for me to write.  I might be busy doing something else and a line will come to me - so I quickly open WORD and start writing.  I love it.

It really depends on what kind of writer you are and what your writing style most reflects. Personally, It's much easier for me to write articles and fantasy fiction. Science fiction calls for tremendous research prior to writing. Poetry comes and goes, it really all depends. I prefer writing fantasy fiction and articles about fantasy. Also, it really depends on how the writer sees and interprets the word "ease"

I can not write poetry at all. I have only written one piece of fiction, but I am very good at writing articles. I enjoy the research that goes into them.

When the tap is on then the fiction just seems to fill up bucket after bucket, only it has this habit of stopping, usually without warning. Then it's back to the formula writing of articles. Luckily that's just as much fun.

I'm not sure how good it ever is (or whether it's even worthy of being called "poetry"), but poems are easy for me.  I can see a subject and whip them up pretty easily.  Most of the time I'm not using poetry to express "my innermost thoughts", so that's worth mentioning.  If I were one to express my innermost thoughts in writing, though, I could whip them up easily too; because the thoughts are already there (and these days, "anything" appears to go when it comes to poetry and innermost thoughts).

Articles are easy for me to write.  I don't do it often these days because I write on sites like this one to get away from writing "the standard" article.  It's easy to do, though - just torture for me after writing more than my own, and a lot of other people's share, of them in my time.

Fiction wouldn't be easy for me to come up with - at all.  I have no patience for fiction and apparently not a creative cell in me.
