For me it has to be coming up with awesome ideas to write about...

I do very different kinds of writing so its different for different things... for my film and television writing, it all starts with getting a clear idea... the biggest challenge is to come up with an idea that hooks people in two lines...some people call it the 'high concept'. This is true for other fiction writing as well.

But for writing hubs and other online content, the biggest challenge is to come up with something that is entertaining as well as google friendly... i.e. ranks high on searches.

My biggest problem is focus. I write on the same laptop that I use to check Facebook and all those other time sucking internet things.

My biggest problem by far is getting the time to write everything I want to. At the moment I do have plenty of ideas which is a blessing, but it's getting the time to do proper research and then get them written up. I would need a 72 hour day to do all the things I want to.

I think my biggest problem is self confidence. I have a tendency to think my writing isn't good enough to be published and those negative thoughts are only fueled by rejection slips from literary agents. I'd like to think that I get back up on the horse pretty quickly, but I can usually tell when my insecurities are showing because my wife tells me to stop being so hard on myself.

Choosing the right words to convey my feelings. Sometimes, I know the word but can't think of it - very frustrating.
