   That buzzing fly in your house....does it just drive you crazy?
   
   I hunt it down. Thought I got it. It re-appears again, landing on me.  Swat again, it's on the floor, it wakes back up in three seconds and is buzzing again.  If you don't see guts, it's not dead!  I hate flies!

   Normally I look for the nearest aerosol - It doesn't have to be flyspray anything will do and then I let them have it if they land on a wall!

   lol I feel your pain.  There are traps you can buy or make that you place outside that keep them from coming in.  Very helpful because we live in the country not far from a farm with cows - so flies are intense out here sometimes.  The traps basically are filled with a liquid attractant that draws the flies in and then drowns the little suckers! - you can build one yourself with soda bottles and some other simple things or buy one that is more "discreet" looking  and hang it outside. 
   
   The downside is they are gross to empty out - the good side - they work fabulously and you'll have hundreds of fly corpses floating about in a week or so lol

   Wow, Christin S gives us something to think about!  Aerosol is a good way to go, and if you feel aggressive, a flyswatter will get some of the tension out... perhaps you should read the story about "The Brave Little Tailor," and buy a flexible belt...

   I hate flies to and get the fly swatter. Our kitchen is right off of our garage, so when we keep the garage door we have less flies. Of course, a few sneak in. I should check into the traps Christin wrote about.

   One fly...and I'm on a mission.  I do not like to kill anything, but I DO kill flies.  They are dirty, useless and annoying, especially horse flies.
   
   Out comes the fly swatter and I hunt it down like Rambo.
   
   When I lived in the country years ago, we had more flies.  Now, in our neighborhood, we rarely get them in the house, thank God!
   
   Yes, Rutley, that buzzing fly DOES drive me crazy and it brings out my dark side.
   
   Any other bug, I will rescue and put it outside, unless one of our four cats pursues it.
   
   That being said, I hate getting out the fly swatter as our cats are terrified of it for some reason, probably the "swatting" sound.  They freak out and run away like crazy.

   Ha ha, it's like you are in my house!  When we opened the door today it seems that two came in.  They have been buzzing in tandem today, and are not interested in going out the same way they came in!  I have one of those electronic fly swats (looks like a small tennis racquet and electrocutes them), but I don't always have the heart to use it. 
   
   (Also it's a bit unpredictable and sometimes makes scary banging noises).

   Yes! They drive me bonkers! What's worse to me, though, is a night like I had last night, when a mosquito is munching on me while I sleep because I didn't know he was in my bedroom. I look like I've got chicken pox!

   I read a good remedy recently and I really think it might work. It was to fill a strong, clear plastic bag with water, add a few shiny coins and hang it near the door. When the flies think of coming in, they see what look like several large eyes staring at them and are frightened off. It's worth a try!

    You could use spiders against them, but then again i'm more afraid of spiders than flies
    
    Also putting a fly into a fridge could work, they become slow and you could catch them easily!
