What is your definition of the Trinity?

The Bible states there is one God. Yet the trinity attributes The Father, Son and Holy Ghost as God. Which is it?

The word "God" (Elohim) in the Hebrew language is plural....a "compound " plural.  That means that it means more than one, even though it is still one.   For instance....supposed I said to you "Hey-will you go to the grocery store and get me one bunch of grapes?".     So you pick up ONE bunch, but there are many grapes in the ONE bunch, right?   Same with God.   One God that is both Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.    Hope this helps!

The apostle Paul was very familiar with the Trinity. Read II Corinthians 13:14. he mentions all three. Its all throughout the new testament. Thanks for responding.

One God, three person, equal in power and glory.  Cynics like to point out that the word trinity is not in the Bible.  No one says it is. The reason Christians have concluded that there is one God in three persons is that all three are given attributes that can be true only of God (eternity, holiness, etc) yet they speak to and about one another.

That's not a fabrication. It's a reasonable conclusion drawn from the biblical data.  Good analogy given by Saved by Jesus. Though every analogy breaks down sooner or later.  For instance, each person of the Trinity is fully God, but if you have only one grape, you wouldn't call it a bunch.

I believe there is only one God with three manifestations. Father. Spirit, and Word (Jesus=Word made flesh). Separate in function, but not in purpose.
    Be Blessed

Hi Tony L Smith. Thanks for your response. My only concern would be the use of the word manifestation. It may give the impression that it is only one individual that appears in three different forms which definitely is not so. Thanks again.
