   Yes! My Zodiac Sign is Taurus and I show all the characteristics of a Taurian.  I am stubborn and persevere to achieve things I set my heart at. I am a lover of nature and arts and all luxuries and comforts. I don't make friends easily, but when I do I am a sincere and reliable friend. I am quite practical in my approach and stick on to 'tried and tested' things more. I am not much fond of changes. For instance, You can spot me sitting at the same Restaurant, at the same table and chair, with the same group of friends and ordering the same dishes often. As per my Zodiac Sign, I am supposed to be beautiful and fond of food which I believe I am.
   
   I believe in the Religion of humanity. I believe in taking the good in all religions and discarding the rest. My interest in Hinduism is what got me interested in Astrology and Planetary connections in horoscope. So far, my analysis and experience with myself and others have only confirmed that there is truth in Astrology.

   I don't think my true identity is represented by astrology. Just to give you an example, I am a Scorpio. Be with me for half a day, and you probably won't even think I am one. But Scorpios are supposed to be all that what they say in astrology. But think again.
   
   All I am saying is that a person's identity is created by himself/herself. Yes, astrology does show my strong characteristics. However, I still have the ability to choose my own identity which astrology doesn't govern. And talking about religion, why must astrology clash with any religious belief at all? How are they even connected?

   Reading astrology is one of my hobbies. My Zodiac sign is Leo. Many termed Leos as honest and faithful which is true in my own case. I am very much honest with myself and to those close to me as well in my endeavours, career and activities. I am very faithful to my family and close friends. Leos tend to get very angry even over very small matters which is also quite true in my own case. I get upset and angry over trivial matters but soon get over it. I am introspective and always accept my faults. Leos like to indulge in creative activities - yes I love doing creative activities be it writing, artwork, dancing and all. Leos are extremely sensitive and often have very high expectations which is very much true in my case! I am indeed very sensitive and often have high expectations. In fact, I am very much a Leo!

   No, the zodiac sign, just one of 12 signs, does not represent my identity. Lists of Sun-sign traits, although it seems there is something to them, are no match for a person's natal horoscope, which is a chart of the sky at the date, place and time of birth. The horoscope includes the position of all the planets, not just the Sun, and is therefore far more specific about a person's talents, traits, and drives. Even so, God has granted us free will and if we have some trait we dislike, we can work to change it.
   
   And to answer the rest of your question: Nobody should believe everything they read about anything; and most people who believe in astrology also believe in God or angels. Astrology has no quarrel with any religious faith. Judeo-Christianity, however, quarrels with/hates astrology. This quarrel, like most, is based on misunderstanding. Other faiths such as Hinduism honor and respect astrology as the study of the universe that God made.

   Not using Tropical.  The Sun sign is only a small part of a huge pie and we are influenced by all the planetary forces not just the Sun.  In fact for some people their Sun is very weak in their chart.   I could not relate solely to my Sun Sign using Tropical (which is used by tabloid astrologists).  When I had my chart done using the Sidereal system it started to make more sense.  I feel that people who only identify with their zodiac sign are narrowing themselves considerably.

   One's sun sign is just one part of his/her zodiac persona. Astrological personality is so much more than sun signs. There is a person's Moon, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto signs. Also there is the ascendant sign. In essence, a person's astrological personality is composed of all these aforementioned signs plus the ascendant or rising sign. 
   
   For instance,if a person's sun sign is in Taurus but his/her ascendant is in Leo and tthe other planets are in fire and air signs,he/she will not exhibit the characteristics of a typical Taurus which is adherence to tradition/conservatism, steadfastness,and adversion to change. He/she will exhibit a more aggressive(fire element) and intellectual(air element) to his/her personality. This Taurean will be highly proactive in his/her life.  He/she will also love pursuing intellectual things.
   
   Also there is the cardinal, fixed, and mutable emphasis. A person's sun sign can be in a fixed sign; however, if the majority of his/her planetary placements is in a cardinal sign, he/she will exhibit cardinal characteristics. He/she will be a self-starter and an initiator in his/her own life affairs.Another instance of this is a person whose sun sign is in a mutable sign.Now, if the majority of his/her planetary placements is in a fixed sign, he/she will be more resolute and determined regarding his/her own life affairs. 
   
   I am a sun sign Virgo. My rising sign is Pisces. My Moon, Jupiter, and Uranus are in Cancer. My Mercury and Neptune are in Libra. My Venus and Saturn are in Scorpio. My Mars is in Capricorn. My Pluto is in Leo. I have 5 planets plus the ascendant in water signs.
   
   I am not a typical cut and dry,by the rules Virgo. I am highly creative and a little intuitive. I believe in doing what one is passionate and sincere about. I am drawn to the arts and other creative endeavors. I also believe that there is a real world beyond what is seen and obvious.
   
   I have 6 planets in cardinal signs. I am always looking for something new and fresh. Monotony is my enemy. I have 3 planets in fixed signs. I can be quite stubborn and resolute once I believe in something. Now the sum is that my astrological personality is basically a Cancer/Scorpio emphasis.I am drawn to psychic and metaphysical things (water). I am love the underside of things. and fascinated with the darker side of things(Scorpio). I can be quite a homebody and love history(Cancer). I am a New Ager so astrology fits right in.

   I believe all birth signs have Soul qualities, such as Trust, Honesty Compassion, etc.;maybe the energy around these Soul qualities is more dominant at the time we are born, creating a greater impression on our Soul which helps to shape our identity as we journey through our life.
