If love is difficult you are with the wrong person.
Relationships are more about "a labor of love" as opposed to "work". Work is something you do while wishing you were doing something else. A labor of love on the other hand is something one (chooses) to do and it often gives them pleasure or pride for their efforts.
Examples such as fixing up an old house, taking care of pets, planting a garden, looking after children. No one has to own a home, own a pet, plant a garden, have children, or even enter into a relationship.  These are all things we (choose). The mature thing to do is to be responsible and (nurture our choices). Ideally one wants a partner who (naturally agrees) with them on the major things in life and shares the same values/goals for the relationship.
There is no amount of (communication) or (work) that can overcome being with someone who does not want what you want. - One man's opinion! :-)

Relationships aren't always great. They sometimes go through tough times. If you are not married to this person, you could try a break for a while. If married and you can't resolve it by yourselves, try counseling. The first year of marriage is difficult for many couples I f your partner has the problems or is difficult, talking to someone could help both of you. If Christians, you can pray about it. Good luck.

We cannot manage a difficult partner just like we cannot change them. We all have our different personalities and if you change them they're no longer themselves.

Speak to him about what is acceptable to you within the relationship, try not to buy into his mood and problems and keep your own happy outlook as much as possible regardless of his 'issues'.
