   Do you prefer taking a bath or a shower?
   
   I was just wondering if there is a major difference in what happens to the human body when taking a bath compared to a shower other than the obvious?

   The only obvious answer I can think of for this question is that you are able to relax when you take a bath than a shower. Bath is time-consuming but shower is quick and your intention is only to clean yourself. I think people would choose a bath if they had the time for a long and relaxing bath. It is certainly refreshing both for the body and the mind. I would like to know others' views on this one. Cheers, Rema.

   Shower. My partner and I can't stand laying in filth that drops off the bath then floats all around. We have a hot tub for relaxation.

      thats how I feel about taking a bath at someone else's home but I do have my own bathroom which I don't share but I understand how you feel about the filth. thanks

   Depends on my mood, where I am at (i.e. motel or home) the condition of what I am stepping into, haha etc.  For the purposes of simplicity, I consider 'soaking in the tub' a total luxury.  I do so to stress out and relax.  Otherwise: showers.  Thanks for the good question.  Whoever is soaking in that awesome tub has my envy!  My 'fantasy' bathroom has a large, separate shower and a jacuzzi style tub.  Mmmm.

   I agree with Iburmaster. I don't feel like I get "clean" while sitting in a bathtub. I take a shower to get clean.
   
   Now, if I feel like laying down in the bath full of hot water to relax that's one thing. But once i'm done i'll probably take a shower to rinse off.

   Personally I like a cold shower that eventually becomes warm; after all doesn't gravity has a significant effect on cleansing and I have been told cold showers have an awaking effect besides some other significant spin-offs. Now of course for relaxation and calming purposes you probably cannot beat a bath, hot tub or sauna experience...
   I do wonder if the ultimate cleansing experience would indeed be a combination of cold to warm shower and sauna?
