Who do you go to when you need answers about yourself?

I would like to know who you turn to when your conflict is an internal one?  I, for example, often struggle with where I want to go with my career and who I want to be.  You would think that I would be over this by now, that at my age (37 - almost) I would have this figured out, but no.  I talk to my husband, my Mom, my sisters and it seems that everyone has different answers and opinions - sometimes they even seem so foreign to my personality, like the contributing party doesn't even know me.

So, who do you turn to?  How do you find your bliss?

I usually rely on my Parents and my girl for any kind of advice. I share anything and everything with my girl, and she often helps me get out of even toughest of the situations....

To my husband. He is my best friend since almost 7 years. I turn to him first whenever I need an answer for anything about me or life. smile

That is something only you can find for yourself.  People often struggle with this, but the truth of the matter the only person who knows your bliss is you and no one can answer that for you.

You can find it by learning to connect with your higher self.  I used journal writing and meditation.  It took a long time to unlearn the conditioning placed on my by others, but once you do accept yourself "as is" you'll find so many things open up to you.

Also, you may be someone who feels compelled to explore multiple career areas - and that's fine.  We are conditioned to believe that we have to find one thing and settle in and be happy with that etc. That is simply not the case for everyone,  especially not if you are a well rounded and curious individual who wants to have a variety of experiences in life.

There's no set age where you should have to feel you have it all figured out.  The search for meaning is the purpose of life.

i go to GOD to help me through internal struggles. no one knows me better than HE does. not even myself. besides, only HE can see the big picture, the whole problem. HE knows everything, i know only in part, a very tiny part. we humans tend to be tunnel vision. it makes it hard to know where to go or what to do. like a horse with blinders on...GOD shows me the best path to take or the best way to deal with a situation.

I always went to my mom before she died. Now I go to my best friend who is most likely to listen and be honest. I also pray for guidance and clarity while writing my thoughts in my journal. Whichever way I choose, I find the most important thing is to get it out rather than internalize the struggle. I arrive at a solution after I've bounced it around a bit.

Frankly, I'm 60 (ouch) and there just aren't any mysteries left - so I pretty much figure out my own "stuff."

Normally it is internal. However, I have to ask my partner. He notices the things that I don't. My facial features during certain times, how I respond to certain situations, etc. He sometimes tells me, and sometimes he doesn't. He doesn't tell me when I give him the "your in trouble" look.
