What was the most romatic or creative gift you ever gave or received?
I can't tell if my husband thought it was romantic at the time, but when we were engaged I made a card disclosing my love and appreciation for him. He definitely appreciated it, I saw it as romantic (I don't know about him).
The most romantic gift I received was a basket made of fabric in the shape of a heart and inside it had a stuffed animal. It was a gift from my husband.
.........well every letter my lover (and best friend) sign off to each other with the same most beautiful 7 words of all time - I love you and I adore you!

I gave my husband (my best friend at that time) a hand written book, with a chapter for each year we had known each other. I had used hand made paper, written down every word, spray painted each page, and posted cartoons describing nearly every incident noted in the book. I had disguised it as a sweets box and requested him to give me a sweet while in the plane. I can never forget the expression on his face when he opened it, nor the drops of tears in his eyes (something very very rare for him) by the time he had read the last page.
That was my proposal to him...in a way
A puppy ! About nine years ago, I was dating a woman to whom I mentioned that I had dogs before in my life, an enjoyable experience to me. One day, she showed up at my place, shortly before Christmas, carrying a little cage and I thought she had brought over her own dog along, an extremely mean Yorkshire terrier monster ! I was wrong. She said to me that she remembered me wishing to have a dog again, and out of the cage came out Brittany, a four weeks old puppy (way too young to be taken away from her mother, but the alternative was death by injection) My friend was considerate enough to say to me that the dog could be returned if I didn't want her. I decided to keep the beast for a day before making a final decision, and needless to say, Brittany remained. She's almost 10 now and without a doubt the most wonderful, loving, playful, thoughtful and funny dog I ever crossed path with. Even though my friend and I parted ways about 3 years ago, I have always thought that this is the most creative, unusual, thoughtful, romantic token of appreciation I ever received from a woman, and I don't think anyone I could possibly meet will ever top that ! And I hate to say that, but dogs will love you in a way that no human being can
Well most people wouldn't think this is very romantic, but my husband got me a Kuerig individual cup coffee maker. It's the most creative/romantic gift to me because every since I have been married I have had to give him suggestions for my gifts. This was the first time in 12 years that he bought a gift for me on his own.
He explained that he knew I was the only one in the house who drank hot beverages and knew how much I loved coffee in the mornings and how he knew I craved just one cup but did not want to make a whole pot. He thought that this would make me happy. He was right. I use it everyday and it still makes me smile at his thoughtfulness.
Great question by the way roxanne459... but for me the most romantic gift was not a physical gift. It was an incredibly (at the time) romantic and thoughtful act.
Years ago I was seeing a young lady... and after expressing to her that I was an avid reader; she picked a book she thought I might like based on my interests, and she layed my head upon her lap and she read to me.
Maybe I am simple; but for me just the act of being pampered in such a way is a gifting enough.
On the creative front: a dance. I was to pick out any music I liked (I chose the Legend soundtrack) and any outfit my friend the dancer had, and she would give me and the rest of the group a solo performance. Twenty years later, it's still the most wonderful gift I've ever received, and definitely the most creative!
My husband is very thoughtful when it comes to gifts.Never forgets our anniversary, still has a vivid memory on the first date we did after 28 years of being married ,the time we met seated next to each other on a flight from Paris to San Francisco, our impromptu weekend trips sometimes not even knowing where we want to go-just hop in the car and decide where to go when we get to the freeway,ha ha ha !!! or drive 40 miles to have a cup of Peets coffee on a saturday morning when we feel we don't want to do anything around the house.TOO MANY GIFTS REALLY, I LOST COUNT. Not one i can single out as the best gift. And I love it when he makes coffee just the way I love it.
Last Christmas I cross-stitched (not something I usually do) my boyfriend a picture of two Daleks (Doctor Who bad guys) with a heart in the middle. Daleks in love! I'm sure that's probably not terribly romantic to most people, but we both thought it was
My husband woke me early on my 29th birthday, drove me to the airport and we got on a plane to San Fransisco for the weekend. He had totally surpised me and planned out every detail right down to packing my clothes. Best gift ever!

The weirdest insult I can remember getting was in a Denny's cafe. My friends and I were hanging out drinking coffee and putting off going home as late as we could. We had one of those big booths that sit a good sized group. We were minding our own business sharing a piece of sinful chocolate cake...
