How did you get involved with Hubpages? Why do you love this activity?
I found it on monster.com a few months ago. I love to write, so this has been fun.
Its a really great place to make a brand for yourself if you put the time into it.
I found out about Hubpages online and after looking it up and seeing how it works, I was interested in signing up and giving it a try!
I personally love being on Hubpages because I like writing and I can therefore write and share about things that I know or enjoy. I also love interacting with other Hubbers on here. Plus, I love getting feedback on my hubs, especially when someone says that it was helpful.
I never wrote anything in my life until I came to Hubpages and now it really help my cooking career a littlbit ..Meaning it has brought more income to me and my family after writing for awhile I was offered a job writing food articles for a magazine.
I discovered it 2 years ago when I was looking for ways to earn money online, and I love to write, so it was totally up my alley... anyway, a bunch of life happened and I totally forgot about it until a few months ago.
Now I'm more hooked than ever!
I love to write & share. The community is super supportive & awesome. (only a few minor glitchy hubbers)
It is so rewarding to hear feedback from others & to know that I'm making a difference, no matter how small.
Great question! Thanks for putting it out there
Thank you Mom Kat, Hubpages is a great place tor people who love to write and share.
I found hubpages via search results a few times and I had been looking for ways to build and share content. What really impressed me here over other sites I looked at was the community spirit and how friendly everyone was. I received great hub feedback right away and it was very engaging so I stayed. My hubs do quite well in the search engines and my hubs and niche websites work well to promote and enhance each other. I need to write more hubs and have slowed down a lot on it, but I do really enjoy it for the feedback and community.
I discovered Hubpages whilst browsing one day, I enjoy writing and am obsessed with cooking so it seemed a great way to combine the two. I'm interested in adding income if at all possible but I havn't worked out that side of it yet! I'm also enjoying communicating with other Hubbers particularly now that I'm a Carer and don't get out and about as much as I used to.
I see we have something in common ....Cooking . This is really a great site for me and a good way to make a few dollars also.
An online friend mentioned it to me and something about building backlinks. That was over a year ago. I haven't used it much when I first started, but I've been more active the last few months. It's quite enjoyable to create hubs. ^_^
That great building back links hubpages has so many ways to improve your hub and build a brand for your readers as well I'm still learning hhow to do a lot of the things that they offer that's the good thing about it it's so much you can do.
I was introduced to hubpages by a friend who pushed me to join and when I didn't do it fast enough for him, he set up my account, picked a name for me and told me : "you're all set, now write something" I love this activity because it allows me to test if what I write is interesting to other people or not. It also allows me to sample what other people write about and assess their popularity as well. In the end, it's all good
I like what you just said, Hubpages dose allow you to test the market because that's how I recieved the chance to do food writing for the magazine I write for now.....Don't give up on this just keep putting out things you believe are worth reading ..
I first got involved with Hubpages when I ran across the book "Blogging for Dummies". I was interested in the extra income and I like to write. I am a bit rusty right now because of the requirements but this is my first question answered by me. So...I hope my experience is as good as I am expecting it to be.
When I came here to hubpages I knew nothing but givve it time and before you know you will be a pro.
I stumbled onto the HP site when I was researching something (I forget what) but it had nothing to do with writing. When I looked at the site and read the information, I realized it was an internet writing site I was looking and hoping for. I love the writing community here and the camraderie. I love getting feedback on what I write and I love writing and creating hubs. I love leaving comments and bantering with the other Hubbers. I love magazine writing and this is the closest thing I could find on the internet that wasn't an established magazine like Women's Day or People etc. It is a great place to hone my skills and learn from others.
Hubpages is the reason I write for a magazine today and I thank them for allowing anyone who has a passion for writing to share there thoughts on there site.......It's just something really great.

How do you maintain a positive attitude and not give up on writing at HubPages? With the recent google changes, the virus alerts, and the viewer drops, how can a person stay upbeat and positive writing on here? I am beginning to question this.

I'm currently trying to get my husband to help me write some hubs. I'm happy to type them up and edit them, I basically want his input on topics that I know nothing about - because the more topics you cover the more chance you have of getting a great niche. My husband is half won over on the idea I...

I have been on Hub Pages about a year and I have written about 27 Hubs and they have received close to 5000 views, which I felt was not bad and my status hovers between 82-88. Last week I had about 8 of my Hubs featured, which again seemed ok. Now magically overnight, I have all these codes now...

I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...
