Beard or no beard? That's the question!

What do you prefer? I myself is a beard man and I love how I look in my beard!

There are beards and beards.  For example, at 75 my beard, after it had been growing for around three months, looked so awful my wife told me she couldn't stand to look at me.  You might see a photo or two of what I looked liked on a few of my hubs.

On the other hand, at forty one and spending a year on a sub-Antarctic Island, I had a magnificent beard, thick, dark, with just a hint of silver in it.  It made me look good, I think.  Certainly I was rather proud of it.  Probably one of the best beards among my expeditionary group.

I don't know whether it is hormonal - it probably is - but some men grow much thicker, vigorous-looking beards than others and I certainly fell into the positive group.   Now, in the autumn of my years I doubt I can lay such a claim.  Mind you, I still have to shave every day if I want to look my best.

I don't care either way. Some men look great with a beard and some look great without one. Good question.

I've been wearing one for years, well a goatee anyway. I can't imagine not having one at this point. We took the kids to see Santa and I said to him, "You can always trust a man in a beard and a hat"... he laughed and agreed.

Yes. I am a beard guy. I like the way it looks. Other people disagree. My kids say it makes me look old. Well, at 50 who cares? My wife doesn't like it, so I shave it off every year for her birthday. I keep it off as long as I can stand, a few weeks or a month, then grow it back.

I think it depends on the man. In saying that I like a short groomed beard on men. I personally don't like to see those long shaggy ones. Those are only good for novelty value.

In my opinion all men look better with a beard - I just love them!

No beard, ALWAYS! I can't stand a beard. They scratch, tug, and irritate. Plus I want to be proud of my husband, not a grubby looking old man.

It's ok, some like their men to look like little babies wink

I think that beards can look great if they are groomed properly. I prefer the look of guys with some facial hair but not a full on beard but it really is about personal style and preference.
