What I do is edit them by adding to them. Change the wording in the title and update or add additional photo's. I also share them on Twitter with a related hash tag.

There are several ways to help alleviate this, both in the short and long term:

Short Term - Promote via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.) Encourage your friends and family to visit and leave comments; share with other hubbers (so long as you don't spam)

Long Term - Enhance your content to be the best it can; comple and thoroughon site SEO tweaking; build backlinks for offsite SEO. Content Marketing and Building Expertise.

I have written a hub on the main ways to get traffic to a website, article or hub, you can find it linked from my profile.

    I hope it helps.

If you're just worried about the little blue down arrow, then don't worry too much about that. If there is a significant medium-term drop then the other suggestions from Paul and stricklydating are good ones, especially if the hubs in question never really got a lot of traction in the first place.

Another course of action is to consider moving the hubs to another site. Often, authors move an article to or from HP and suddenly get a lot more hits.

Promote the crap out of them...use Facebook, Twitter...and even MySpace. You can also jazz them up, add new pictures and/or change some of the text, make it a new piece and hopefully Hub Pages will feature it. Finally, contribute to Hub Pages, answer question and follow other hubbers...get your name out there.

I edit them by adding more information I have on the subject, adding some reference links or new photos.  I also take that time to re-share them in the public.

Yeah, same with the other hubbers. I add in more details, add photos, amazon, polls and resubmit them. Then, repost the link at backlinks. Sometime it helps to increase the traffic. Not all the time.
