   Why do men wait until they have blood in their urine before seeking help from their doctor?

   Men are very "manly" and we don't like to think that there is something wrong with us. That's why a lot of men die from prostate cancer every year. We don't think there is anything wrong with us and we end up dying from simple problems that could have been fixed. I think it also has to do with the whole "we're the provider and head of the household" thing. A man doesn't want to have to say that there sick and require being taken care of by someone when they are the one who is suppose to be providing for everyone.

      Such a lovely but old fashioned approach!  What happened to equality?  A dead man is only as good as his Insurance and most of us would prefer to have our man safely at at home rather than six feet under.  One death to prostrate cancer is too many.

      I would agree completely. People are afraid of going to the doctor now though because they hate to hear that something is wrong. And with medical bills how they are I understand. And there has and never will be equality. That's a dream!

   Maybe it's the exact opposite of being manly? Maybe we're just scared in case we find out that we do have a serious illness. Maybe men find it difficult to face up to such issues and instead ignore the signs -- hoping that everything'll be fine -- until they absolutely have to do something.

      So sad but true, too many lives are wasted because our 'brave men' are too afraid to confront their fears.  Maybe this question will inspire men to confront this difficult issue!  Thanks JCielo, appreciate your comment.
