Will husbands and wives reunite in heaven?

Mark 12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.  26 But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?  27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken."

marriage was given to the human race on this earth
.   There is no such thing in the eternal Kingdom of God

Thank you Celefaoe.  Imagine a husband having two wives in heaven (one died and he married again or other circumstances).  All the drama would take away from our purpose in heaven.

Beautiful, celafoe. I was thinking of the same passage. Too many Christians think that salvation and everlasting life is about Homo sapiens bodies. God created His children in his own image and likeness and He is certainly not Homo sapiens.

I'll admit, I'm not exactly religiously attached, but in my few years, I've learned something very important. The undeniable flow of time ripples and separates even the strongest bonds. But, as sentient creatures, we are gifted with conscience, and determination of varying levels. No matter where we go, as long as those remain with us, so will those who have separated from us.

People only lose each other when they forget all remnants of that person, but time tries it's hardest so that we never forget.

Really cool. My experiences and especially my loves are a very part of me. Heaven would hold what makes me love. And so what has taught me to love would be with me in Heaven. And since we wouldn't be physical bodies, proximity would be meaningless

in the kingdom of God when we are living on the new "heavenly" earth there will be no connection to this past temporary life on the old earth .   doing so would be necromancy which God hates

There is one question regarding pets in heaven.  Can you imagine people petting their cats when they should be saying "Thou art worthy!"

If heaven exists I feel bad for those that remarried. That's going to be one interesting conversation.

they will not even remember being married because in the new glorified body there is no hint of the old mortal life, there is a new body, a new heaven, a new earth and a new spiritual life that we cannot comprehend.  all is new after the judgement

I actually think that we tend to view Heaven with our puny human minds and focus on all the what-ifs about it.  When (and if) we get there, I think our focus is going to be solely on the One who is worthy of that focus.  Whether or not we have spouse, family, snow, dogs etc. in Heaven is of little importance when compared to the question of whether or not we are actually going to be there....
