   Never read the book; viewed the video a few times.   Lot's of theatrics in the introduction.
   Does it work?   I think it does.  Problem is it asks us to take risks the majority of us are not prepared to take.  We have to 'trust' that its teachings will work for us and we're generally too fearful to do so with the bigger, more life-changing things.
   
   It isn't really a secret, of course.  Never was.   Yes, I have a copy of 'The Science of Getting Rich' by Wallace D.Wattles, who wrote all about the so-called Secret way around the turn of the 19th to 20th Centuries, and he got his information from people who'd previously espoused the same stuff.
   
   I also have a copy of 'Thought Vibration - or the Law of Attraction in the thought world', by William Walker Atkinson. Also written long ago.
   
   The one thing I did some year back was to increase the amount of money I donated to various charities by around 300 % for a trial period of six months to see what happened.  At the end of that time I was marginally better off financially even though I'd given more.   This indicates to me that the more you give the more you do receive back.   But to risk giving away a really significant amount of money...well...that's a risk I'm obviously not prepared to take.
   
   The real 'secret' is the changing of one's thoughts, and that requires a determination to undertake such as a life-long mission.  Most of us are not prepared to do that.   Are you?

   Yes I read it. I will give her credit on the successful marketing of the subject. There have actually been thousands of books published with the same information going back to the 1800's New Thought Movement or Science of Mind. Later in the 1960's Parker Publishing had hundreds of books on the subject. She brought it to the mainstream. It was no different than the old occult, new age or metaphysical teachings on manifesting desires. Old wine, new bottles. And yes, it does work if a person believes and persists, sometimes quickly and other times slowly.

   I bought the book "The Secret" several years ago. I immediately sat down and read this book from cover to cover. A few weeks passed and I read the book again. To this day, I still refer to snippets from "The Secret" and yes, for me it has worked. I am a firm believer that the way we think and focus is directly related to what we reap. I avoid negative people and naysayers at all cost. Pessimists need not apply in my circle which I have consciously chosen to be filled with only optimists and positive thinking people.

   Coincidentally, I just picked up "The Power" audiobook from the library and started listening to it. I had no interest in the material, just picked it at random. I am just over halfway through and am quite intrigued by the messages. I have already started putting the advice to use and am interested to see where it takes me.

   It is a fantastic book. I read it once borrowed from my friend.  I wish to buy one and keep in my study. It is a wonderful work to inspire us, motivate us and  to improve our confidence. I love this kind of books.  After this, the  most inspirational one was "You Can Win" written by Shiv Khera, an Indian author settled in US.

   I watched the movie the secret and read the power. It definitely helps you become a more positive person and have a way better outlook on life which reaps in better things. But using the secret as a concept get's kind of tricky, I personally believe in "belief" and your own energy "working" towards something and that is the base of the secret but using it in your own way is the key. All-together good book to have a better outlook on life

   Wonderful Book...I have bought this book three years ago. Even watched the video. I go back to read this book after with a gap to refresh the memories. Its a wonderful guide to be happy in life in this world.
   It worked fantastically for me. Thank you.

    Yes, watched the 20 minute online video and then got the movie. I believe our life proceeds from what we think.  Too much evidence if you just look around.  When I look on different events in my life I now see why they came about.
