The most unique place you ever visited?

My friend recently came back from her trip to Macchu Pichhu and I was totally mesmerised by the pictures of those ancient ruins. Which was the most unique place you travelled and what was unique about it?

A secret cave a few kilometers from our town. Only a few knows about it and I only got their once. The experience was breathtaking. It has all sorts of bats all over, crystal clear water, virgin stalagmite and stalactite formations which resemble ice sculptures. I really hope it will remain a secret since majority of wonderful natural places nowadays open to the public have been abused.

Gosh, that sounds quite a fun and very enigmatic experience dailytop10. Hope that remains the same when I visit that place.

Probably the Green Sand Beach in Hawaii.  Not many people know about it, and it's one of two places on Earth that have green sand.  The other is in Guam.

The most unique place I have ever visited was the Atlantic Drive in Achill Island, Ireland. It was an amazing and a breath taking landscape I have ever seen in my life. I have photos in some of my hubs about Ireland.

Clovelly in England is one place which stood out as unique as they park up the top of the hill and use donkeys//sleds to pull their shopping down the hill/
Also loved an underwater river in Greece. There are so many place s unique in their own way

The most unique place I visited is Israel - The Promise Land. I loved it. The caves we visited, The Church of All Nations, The Mini Israel Place, and the Dead Sea. I believe Israel is a beautiful country.

The Floating Market, near Bangkok, Thailand. Absolutely fantastic - and unlike any place I've visited before.
    Great food too :-)

Fantastic question - thank you for this opportunity.

    Guilin China.

We didn't do the river raft that I have recently read about but that place on earth is very special so I now am reminded that I must return and try the river rafting - new item on my radar thanks to you.

The scenery is heavenly, the people angelic. We were told, no face lifts would be needed if you resided in this area because the humidity was so high!

Joking and trivia aside, the color of the entire area was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It was like a breath of fresh air just seconds after a thundershower where the clouds had lifted, a tiny bit of moisture remained and a calmness that you knew beyond a doubt God was in control and actively watching over us.

Tortola in the BV Islands.  It was amazing!  I had to take a taxi from the airport.  The terrain is all hills and very bumpy.  The taxi drove really fast.  But, I stayed in a little beach hut.  There was a nightly seafood buffet on the beach, poolside.  There was another pool with a swim-up bar.  I lived on pina coladas!  The water was crystal clear aqua blue in the ocean.  I took a little plane over to another island where fisherman walked in to the water and caught lobster fresh as you ordered it.  I saw a barracuda in the water when I was collecting sand dollars.  That ended any chance of going out on the boats again!  That was a different time in my life.  Glad I had the change to do it.  It was definitely once in a lifetime.
