What's your "go-to" meal when you need to get dinner ready fast?

With school starting back up, I'm wondering what busy mom's always have on hand so they can throw together a quick meal.
Mine would be spaghetti, tuna noodle casserole or, one of my family's favorites, peanut butter and jelly.
    How about your family?

My idea of diner ready fast is a salad. I always keep a bottle of homemade salad dressing in the fridge so I can skip that step and just  chop a few veggies, mixed them together with the premade dressing, some nuts, sometimes a fruit and done! One of my favorites is a broccoli, cranberry and fresh white cheese salad (or turkey breast instead of the cheese). I wrote a hub about it and it was actually my first Hub of The Day accolade! So now I love it even more smile

What kind of dressing do you make? I'm always looking for a good homemade dressing recipe. And your salads sound delicious!

Just regular simple vinaigrette: olive oil, white vinegar, salt and pepper. All though it sounds uninteresting and boring, it is very good and always gives a fresh taste to salads. Sometimes simple is best.

I use my Crock Pot lots.  Just put some frozen chicken breast in it, add some frozen Normandy Blend Vegetables and put a small bottle of Buttermilk Ranch dressing over it and cook on low for 6-8 hours.  Dinner is ready when you are!

I'll either eat leftovers, make a sandwich, or just eat a bowl of cereal.

Sometimes a bowl of cereal for dinner just hits the spot.

My family enjoys good old egg 'n toast.
Put some butter in a pan, drop down a piece of bread with a whole in it, then crack an egg into the hole.
    Simple, easy and good!

Mine would be stir fried vegetables(with meat or without meat) with rice or spaghetti Bolognese and corned beef hash. I got recipes on my hubs if you want to read them.

Probably veggie burger on a wrap with either hummus or a slice of cheese.

When I'm in a rush, my go to meal would be:
-Boneless chicken breasts cooked on the George Forman grill with Mrs. Dash for seasoning, they cook up very quickly.
-Green Giant Valley Fresh steamed vegetables in the bag, they cook in the microwave in about 7 minutes.  Usually green beans, sugar snap peas and broccoli.
-Instant Rice.  I mix half white and half brown rice and add some minced garlic to the water.
Dinner's done and on the table in about 15 minutes!

Sounds like a great, healthy dinner! I have a George Forman grill and use it all the time too.

Roasted vegetables is a classic in my book! It's easy because you add olive oil, your seasoning, and stick them in the oven for 20 or so minutes (depending what you are making). It's still extremely healthy but very easy to make. While the veggies are roasting, you can even get other things done around the house. I have several hub recipes for roasted vegetables.

I make roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes quite a bit. They are quick, easy and delicious! I will definitely look up your recipes for other vegetables too.
