Is there a God?
This is just an objective question where I want rational answers not obscure opinions. Thanks!
No one knows. You can't prove there is, you can't prove there ain't.
I'm with you, PF. I find it extremely arrogant as one who cannot understand quarks, quasars, or even how my own cell phone ACTUALLY transmits a signal to presume I or anyone else at these stage on the planet can say whether or not there is a God.
To ask this question you must start by defining what a god is?
If you are speaking of a god in the sense worshiped by religions then there certainly isn't any evidence or indication of such a thing's existence.
Considering that we can detect minutely tiny forms of energy and even the absence of energy, black holes and dark matter, how could we miss something so powerful as to have created the universe and control our world?
If there is / were such a thing it certainly plays no part in modern day events when one considers the enormity of bad things that happen to the true believers of various gods as opposed to the relatively fewer that happen to non-believers.
Humans have, at some time, worshiped virtually every possible entity as gods from insects to planets to unknown / unseen super beings of every sort and none of them have ever fared any better than the rest of the populace.
Given that it is impossible to prove a negative it falls on those who claim there is to prove a positive, we are still waiting. I suspect we always will be waiting given that there isn't a shred of proof beyond an assortment of "holy books" which can't prove anything beyond their own existence. They are, after all, merely the selective works of men.
So to get to the original question I will say no there are no gods, omnipresent, all powerful, super beings playing chess with us as pons.
But I will hold on the point that it still depends on definition.
If you want to call the cosmos "god" then yes it is obviously there, but has no effects on our personal lives.
42 is the answer but what is the question???
The only issue is words. Lets remove the word God. Now, is there an invisible power in nature that creates things continuously? Yes. Is there an energy that is keeping you alive and breathing every day? Yes. Is there an energy that is causing it to rain, the sun to shine, the plants to grow, causing children to be born? Yes. So the real question is: What do you want to call this intelligent energy/power in nature? Now lets bring back the word. Some have used the term "God". Some have used other words. You may use whatever word you want, but you cannot deny the existence of the invisible intelligent power that is moving everything.
Since we know virtually all of the science behind these energies why interject a deity?
There is really no sign of intelligence in the works, only energies.
Everything has been created systematically. Nothing is possible without a creator.
If that is what you can believe then that is what you should believe.
Others require something more tangible than wishful thinking.
Yes, I believe so. All you need to do is look around you. He is everywhere.
Yes.This is not a tough question. The answer is very simple.God exists everywhere and forever. If you have a doubt in the existence of God, think yourself How the earth is created and regulated. Not only earth but also every creature of this world.Look the celestial objects.Who created it?
Obviously, the only answer is there is a supreme power above us which has a name God.I hope, you understand. In short, our believes are the vital thing in the presence of God. If possible, read the verses of bible psalm 14:1, 90:2
Certainly, there is a God.
His wonderfulness can be observed moment by moment as he introduces favor to those who walk the path of righteousness.
God provides continuous righteousness through reflection of positive signals spread by interacting humans praising the Spirit that has blessed them.
God is not intimidated by the weak non-believers that continually blast their preference to not follow the righteousness path.
This is quite evident as the masses continue to worship and follow God's moral principles as outlined in the Christian Bible.
Blessed be the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

What is the best way to explain the existence of God to an atheist?I've heard people try to convince atheists that there is a God by quoting the Bible or some other holy book. But quoting from such materials won't work. You have to believe in them before you can accept them as plausible...

Why would god create atheists who can't be convinced of his existence?

Atheists, can you make an argument for god's existence? They say that, in order to understand both sides of an issue, you must know enough that you could argue for the other side. It's a common practice in speech/debate classes. So this question is for atheists; can you make a convincing argument...
