How will we recognize each other "up there"?

In other words, do all souls of all religions go to one place, or do they separate and go to their own "heavens"?

We will find out when we get there. No need to worry about it now. I am sure it is part of the plan.

Just curious - the thought popped into my head out of the blue this morning.

You speak like you have Heaven for granted. Do you believe you have Heaven for granted?

I believe heaven exists and I believe that those who believe and follow the teachings of Christ will get there. I hope I measure up. I try my hardest.

If you replace the word Christ with the word God then you'll have what I believe in.

Good question. I tend to think souls recognize one another by means far more advanced than our mortal eyes and other senses. And yes, I think we go to our own unique afterlife, though I am sure we are also able to migrate (and visit one another) between these realms.

In my religion, Islam, we believe that God will gather all his creatures from the beginning of time to its end on one field on the day of judgment.
If you mean, by all souls of all religions, the people who believe the messengers that were sent to them then you are right. God will, hopefully, send them all to heaven.
However, if you meant Islam, Cristianism, Atheisism, etc.. in otherwords all the current religions, then I'll tell you that no, only people who believe in God and believe that he is one and only will be sent to heaven.
God forgives, by his holy will, all the sins of humans except one: claiming that there is another God beside him.
May God have mercy on all our souls.

Yes, I mean will a Christian person who goes to his church ever see his Jewish friend who goes to his church once they pass away. Even though they have their own religions, both of them believe in only one God.

I believe my god Odin will let me out of Valhalla to visit my Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu and other friends in their particular sphere of "heaven". He's just that kind of great guy.

I don't know, Examiner. I don't where I'm going. I don't know where my loved ones are going. I don't know where anyone is going.. I just hope the best for everyone. May God have mercy on our souls.

      Mahfoudh Muhammed,
I do not know which way that I am going except, at this moment in my life, I do not believe that I going towards the fiery pit (whichever direction it is) because I do not drink, smoke, kill,...

I'll have a bash at this if no one minds!...Now obviously i can't prove anything, not even to my self so it's just a theory...right?lol...The "we" i'm taking as "i", how will "i" recognise myself, and my friends/family etc.
I reckon there's an actual clue to that ,each time you look in the mirror.
Look back at all your old photo's etc, & see how many different bodies you've had already in your life...So the "we" or "i", is only what the mind comes up with...I know your talking about the "soul", & so far i'm talking about the body & mind...However souls & all religions are in my opinion, all manifested by the mind...Once the mind is taken out of the equation, we're left being led by our heart or soul...So when we're dead our mind ceases to exist, and so does all religion etc...We all go back to the same God in my opinion, & it was only the "mind" that ever came up with the idea of religion in the first place...I do respect religious people & their beliefs, but to me their all praying to the same God...As far as your question maybe we don't have to recognise each other...Maybe we're not who we think we are, in the first place?. :-)

Perhaps as in the ancient saying, "All the Gods are one."? I believe there is truth in this, that the mortal mind sees the face of the Creator in a way that it is best prepared to do so.

I think that it was the brain which had thoughts of dividing into separate religions. When we die, the body and brain are left behind but I figured that the soul & mind came with us. I feel the thoughts are in the brain and the mind is in the sou

Separation was the original sin. "No, God. I'm going to do it my way." Sudden darkness and catatonia.

There is only one heaven with the one source of all. Religious dogma is not Truth. Literal biblical "interpretation" is an oxymoron and definitely not Truth. Only the spirit of scripture leads to everlasting life -- the place where we might well find Gautama Siddhartha Buddha, Yehoshua of Nazareth, King David, Moses, Lao Tzu and others.

When you have the blindness of ego removed from your spiritual eyes, you can once again know as spirit. There is no uncertainty with such knowledge. it's not like the imperfect knowledge of this physical realm.
