   Are you looking forward to spring or just sorry time flies by so fast?
   
   I know I wish time away but I just can't wait for spring. Luckily it will be here in less than a month for me; what about you? Are you still digging the snow?

   I surely do yearn for spring, but in another way, I am afraid to see time pass so quickly so I believe I am torn one way or another. Life is short thus we should certainly enjoy every season while it lasts as one day it will became 'that one winter'.

      I do agree though! I muself am still digging through snow. Wyoming Winters are hard sometimes. They average eight to nine months out of every year. Wind chills can get as bad as 30 below.

   I am so looking forward to spring and doing a lot of planting.  Want to plant butterfly-attracting bushes all around my yard for the enjoyment of all, especially my granddaughters.  When I mentioned that to them, their faces just lit up with joy. LOL.  Ironically, today has warmed up to a nice sunny day, compared to the deep freeze we had this past week!  With our new privacy fence and deck, I see that I need to plant quite a bit, but my husband thinks we are not supposed to cover up the wood.  LOL  It must be a man thing, to like all of the wood to show.  You will have to give me plenty of suggestions as to what to plant, as I know your gardens are always so beautiful.

      If you have nice finished wood you don't want to get bushes pushed up against them too crowded for it will cause mildew & ruin wood but something like azalea's would be good I think since it gets trimmed back & has harder branches & comes

   It's the periodic arctic temps that have been hard to take this winter.  I don't mind snow at all; it's so pretty.  Still, I look forward to spring.  :-)

   Hi Jackie, We are hoping that spring is 2 months away, here in New York, instead of 3, as is possible, here, also. As far as wishing time away...I was just thinking, a few minutes ago, about how  different I look now, then I did a few years ago.....but fall is a beautiful season too...isn't it?

      Oh I am glad I don't have to wait two months. Fall is good but sad because it leads to winter. Spring is so energetic and hopeful. When it is over you still have summer.

      In Texas, fall is the most welcome season because it ends our super-hot summer.  Usually our winters are fairly mild but not always.  We've had some fierce cold and ice.  The great thing is that winter doesn't last f-o-r-e-v-e-r  as to does up north.

   This winter has been hard for many of us. The wind chill has been bad, and I have to avoid high winds and temps under freezing. However, I feel lucky for each new day and pray for each day to be better and for Spring to come quickly. Reading hubs and commenting on hubs brings pleasantry. I love the ability to forget the outside and enjoy the company of HubPage friends.

      Audrey, you are amazing!  I know you folks in Oklahoma City have really had heavy doses of wind and cold, as we have had here in Dallas,  but at least it doesn't last as long as it  does for many of our hub folks further north!

   I am still waiting for winter.  Northern California without rain does not equal winter.  My friend commented, yesterday, how the area we were hiking reminded her of Israel only with trees. We are gearing for a big fire season, but there isn't anything to burn.

      Wow, that is bad. I guess many of us don't know how lucky we are. Fires really are terrible and more and more land being burned up. Well I pray you get some very soon and that it does some good.

   I'd rather sweat than shiver... Living in Dallas we experience a little of everything. But I'm not a cold weather person. If it's below 60 I'm freezing!!! Hurry up spring and summer...

      We'll be having 90s before we know it!  But it will be pleasant till it begins to sizzle over 100.  I just bundle up in the cold season and peel down in the hot.  I love the autumn, don't you?

    I am so ready for spring.
    
    This has been one of the worst winters we have ever had dating back to the 1870's! From high winds to prolonged sub zero temperatures to heavy snowfalls combined with several ice storms. The poor schools are struggling with so many snow days.
    
    I always enjoy spring and my spring flowers. I have enjoyed the change of seasons but this year will have special potency for me because of the rough winter.
    
    I planted allot of perennials and am concerned some will not pull through. We have a good snow cover so I am hoping this has insulated them sufficiently against the subarctic temperatures.
    
    I used to have dogs to enjoy the winter with but this would have been brutal even for them. We are headed this week once again for wind chills -30 and below! Even dogs cannot bear that kind of test from Mother Nature.
    
    So here is sit with my Hubber friends anxiously awaiting the spring.

       I can give it through Christmas Bob, but then it is time for winter to be over! lol But I will see spring earlier than most, so thankful for that, unless mother nature has a trick up her sleeve!

    I am soooo ready for spring despite its being my allergy season. Jan. 2 I slipped on the ice in the parking lot at work and broke my leg. I am still home but I'm not comfortable. It has been a hard winter in Arkansas, and despite the fact that we live in an underground house, our whole plumbing system was lost to the cold weather. We have been having our house totally replumbed, but because of so many frozen and busted pipes in the area, plumbers are too busy to care about one family. My husband has had to do most of the work, which consisted of getting water to one bathroom and the kitchen. We have been waiting over a week for a plumber to come back to our house to finish installation of a new tankless water heater (Mr. B has it jury-rigged in), and right now we don't have access to water for our washer. If we ever have another winter this bad, I'm gonna consider packing up and moving farther South.

       Things are better now. We have water to one bathroom, the washroom and the kitchen. Still waiting for spring, though. I'm wading through 2 inches of icy slush to get to the car to go to work. COME ON SPRING!

    I relish every moment of life, perhaps some more than others. As others from my area have mentioned, the seasons here in Dallas can be extreme; day-by-day, - even erratic.  It's not too high a price for being alive & here!  I will enjoy spring when it comes.  But where & when I am NOW is the life that IS. I wouldn't wish it away, though I sometimes wish I could stretch the days out a bit.  There are so many things I want to do & things I must do, so more time or a little slower pace might be nice.   On the other hand, who wants to be one of those sad folks with too much 'time on their hands' & not enough things of interest to fill up empty hours?  Not I.  I love having my days & hours satisfying & full.  The next 18 years till I'm 100 will be very interesting!!  Whoo-Hoo!   What a life!

       Thank you,Jackie.  What I do on HP is a tiny part of my activities, creative and otherwise, mental and physical.  I'm not quite as active as I was at 22, but am pleased to be fully myself, which has always been fully engaged!  ;-)
