Does anyone have a simple natural remedy to help with allergies in Spring?

Now that Spring has officially sprung, so have the allergy attacks.  I love Spring, but my body does not. I take something for allergies, but was wondering if anyone knew of a simple natural remedy for allergies.  Thank you for answering.

Try taking a teaspoon of raw locally produced honey once daily. The consumption of natural allergens help your body fight the allergy differently, and in some people clinical signs are a lot better.
The honey has to be raw and produced locally, so you might try a health food store. Even raw honey from the internet or a big grocery store is not going to help you at all.
    I hope you feel better!

Oh, that is a great idea!  Yes, raw honey.  We have raw honey at the local Farmer's market, made right here.  Oh, thank you so much.  You are so kind.  I truly love Spring, but the itchy eyes and all, no fun.  Have a great weekend.

I agree that the raw local honey helps; however, it should be started early, perhaps the first of January.  Another suggestion is that, if you hang clothes outside to dry, do not hang out sheets, pillowcases, washcloths, or anything that goes over your head or that you face touches.  I've always dried things outside and have always had terrible hay fever but a co-worker made this suggestion and it worked for me!!!

My mother suffer from asthma and allergy (pollen, cat, dog and so on). She have become much better using this pipe for some year now. Of course it might not work for everyone. She inhale the salt and buys it from our health and organic food store. I saw that it can be bought from Amazon as well.

Hi kerlund, oh really, how interesting.  I have never heard of such.  However, when one of my granddaughters was young, we had to give her breathing treatments twice a day with this machine and the mask fit over her face with some medicine.

The easiest remedy that I know of is a homeopathic remedy, much in the way immunotherapy works, without needles. You simply put 15 drops of the allergen under your tongue, you may continue to take your anti histamine. In time your body will become "immune" to the offending allergy. In your case you are either allergic to grass pollen, or regular pollen. Instead of an anti histamine you can take QBC, which is a natural anti histamine that contains Quercitin, bromelain, and vitamin C. I give dosage amounts, and other recommendations in my article is it cold or allergy. http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/Is-it … or-allergy
You can buy the drops directly thru amazon http://www.amazon.com/bioAllers-Allergy … B00008US2Q
The way to know if it is grass, is if the allergies get worse when you mow, or some one else does.
There is also another one specificately formulated for those who suffer from regular pollen from ragweed, and flowers
    http://www.amazon.com/Pollen-Hayfever-7 … B000FDMLRC
Basically they are relief with out the needle. I hope they help you.
I took the drops for mold, yeast, and dust. It didnt take very long before I noticed a huge difference in my allergies. They were year round, and constant. By the time I had finished the one bottle the improvement was substantial. http://www.amazon.com/Bioallers-Mold-Ye … B00016WWRC
I hope this helps, let me know, it takes time, but it does work. smile

you are very welcome, Faith Reaper I can relate to the allergy problem, I've lived with it most of my life, until I had had enough of Inhalers, steroids, and side effects. It really does work,  I hope it helps you as much as it did me.

When my allergies begin acting up, I try to drink hot tea with honey every morning at breakfast. One containing thyme and peppermint works best for me. Both are considered herbal remedies for allergies. It doesn't last all day, but it definitely clears it up immediately and helps keep your sinuses clear for a couple of hours.
