   Do girls really cry after breakup?
   
   I wonder if girls really cry after having a break up or they just pretend to be unhappy. Because I have seen so many friends of mine who started the guy hunt the next day they broke up

   Twice I did and a few times I didn't. For me, it depended on both how long I had been dating the guy and how deeply involved I was with him.

   There is no one answer to a question like this.  Every woman is a very unique individual.......actually, the same applies to men.
   Whether or not a woman cries after a break-up really depends upon so many things.  However, now would be a good time to admit that some highly emotional women, cry for any reason.....at the drop of a hat.
   For instance, I am not one of those women.  I cry when I am deeply moved with overwhelming emotion and I simply cannot control the tears.
   
   I'm going to safely assume that for the vast majority of women, having a good cry after a break-up is ceremonial.  It would probably depend on how seriously attached she was to the man, how long the relationship lasted and of course, the circumstances that led up to the ultimate end.
   
   I have known many men who cried after being given his walking papers, but rarely felt sorry for him......since I knew he had EARNED his trip to the curb!.........Good question, Josh.

   It depends, did I like the guy, or did I want to breakup? I cry when I am unhappy with something. If parting ways is for the best, its for the best.

   Interesting question and most girls do cry after a break up it also depends on how they ended the relationship.  Girls who go  out  on a man hunt the next day  are the kind who  just enjoy experiencing new relationships.

   It really comes down to how emotionally invested she was in the relationship. Most people don't enjoy being "dumped" either way.
   It's a blow to the ego! This would explain why someone could be unhappy about a breakup even if they weren't in love. On the other hand it's also blow to some people's ego when they (don't) see their ex crying over them. "She must have not cared about me."
   Being aware of this both people may engage in a game of trying to appear (happier or better off) without their ex. They don't want their ex or the people he/she knows to see them hurting.
   Some women have embraced the "man code" which states: "The best way to get over one woman is to get under another woman."
   Although that may sound crass the reality is quite a few people deal with hurt by "running away", drinking, taking drugs, partying excessively, or having casual sex.
   Last but not least (some) women hate being single especially if all of their girlfriends are married or in relationships. They'd rather have a "no good" man than to not have a man period.
