Did Adam and Eve, at one time, have the knowledge regarding the Kingdom of God?

Was the knowledge of God Kingdom in heaven lost through time after Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of Eden. Matthew 13:35 (NKJV) states: 35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, saying " I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things kept secret fro the foundation of the word."... Where these parable about lost knowledge of the Kingdom of God until the ministery of Jesus Christ?

It is late and I am tired. But it seems to me that Adam and Eve were living in the kingdom of God, and threw it in the trash bin. They decided to believe and trust in Satan. They told God that they did not believe, trust, or need God. The next few thousand years have been the result, during which God has allowed mankind to realize what it means to be ruled by other men, rather than by God. I think that Adam and Eve knew enough that they should have know better. But maybe they were as stupid as I was, and could not learn the easy way.

David- Thanks for your answer. It just makes me wonder what was in their heart before the fall and just how much knowledge did Adam and Eve really have. Again thanks.

It surely does seem to me that no matter who done it first, there is a bit of Adam and Eve in all of us. And that we need Jesus, not to keep us from sin as much as to reconcile us after we sin. I think this is true for the individual as it is for society as a whole.
Certainly Jesus is the "good news" not the "new news". Parables are for those with free will. Instructions are for those who must follow or be lost.

Have you read Matthew 25:31-46? Or Matthew 7:13-26? No parables at all there, but clear instructions that many who call him Lord ignore or disobey.

True that. Those who need instruction are lost when they do not obey and ignore. Mathew gives us no room for error by being stupid.

Eric- it's always good to see your comments and answers. The are at least 11 parable irectly related to the Kingdom of God. Approximately 6 of them are in Matthew Chapter 13
