How do extremists expect to be eternally rewarded for murdering babies?

Murder, torture, decapitations, rape, butchery - sadly, these things are not new in our world. And among moral people in almost every culture, such activities are considered especially depraved when carried out against children. Yet ISIS and other extremist religious groups are carrying out these horrors with an ever-growing frenzy - just today a friend sent me a link to an article describing how ISIS has started beheading babies and toddlers. What delusions are these butchers telling themselves? How can they expect respect for their beliefs in this life or eternal REWARD after death?

Heard someone mention that they are following their holy text word for word.

If the bible was followed to the letter, there would be similar depraved activities going on most likely. Possibly to a lesser extent, but depraved nonetheless.

Unfortunately, there is some truth in what you say. So much violence to be found in the Bible; though I feel most modern Christians condemn violence. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Oh my.  Read the Quran before making comments like that.  The Quran does not condone any of the actions ISIS has been taking.  The Quran is actually pretty clear that things like this will earn anyone a one-way ticket to Hell.  The Quran promotes peace.  In fact the word "Islam" is derived from the word "Salaam" which means peace.

Sadly, in response to this question, I don't know what kind of delusions these people are operating under.  All I can say is that they do not understand their religion at all.

Hi mkjohnston81, I have read the Quran, and although I find much to dislike in the passages, I certainly do not recall a call for killing innocent little babies. Thanks for your thoughts.

Perhaps they're following a different master -- CIA, perhaps? As evil as America has become (not its citizens, but its government), I wouldn't be surprised.

If we love others as ourselves, then we heal the world. Awareness helps

I'm sorry, but virtually every linguistics expert who studies Islam and the Arabic language disagrees with you. "Islam" does not come from same root as "Al-Salaam". It comes from the same root as "Al-Silm" which means "submission", not "peace".

TwerkZerker, yes, you are correct.  Muslims generally consider both words to be at the root of the word "Islam."  We believe that Islam means "Peace" and "Submission" to God.

A reading and checking of thereligionofpeace .com site shows that the quran does in fact support the terrorists' actions. Worth a look.

Top question - They probably had a lousy life growing up, or wish that they were not here, so they keep murdering babies hoping to find relief. Until they do, they will keep doing it.

Line of violence - It has to do with something probably from their childhood, but I do not agree with or like them any more than you.

Religions - It is most likely due to a belief of their religion, or something written in their "bible"/"book of beliefs" which they follow.
Unless it is a false religion and they just started a "group" who are all on the same "trip".

    Last two questions -
    Delusions: Probably false beliefs.
Respect or Reward: Most likely read, or heard/told, somewhere which they believe is true, and nobody can change their minds.

America has bombed over 30 countries. We love killing babies and the majority of Americans (USA) are self identifying Christians who believe they will go to heaven. I don't see much of a difference. It is a matter of being so delusional you (collectively) believe the loss of a few is worth it for the many.
"Murder, torture, decapitations, rape, butchery - sadly, these things are not new in our world." You are very right. It isn't new. We Americans just seem to think it is only bad if we aren't the ones doing it. They are fighting for their delusional belief, and we are fighting for ours.

Perfect, peeples. I didn't realize how Orwellian America had become until I lived overseas for 4 (now 7) years. War, when America does it, is a "peacekeeping" action. Conspiracy = crazy; the conspirators love this one.

Interesting peeples. So are you saying delusional jihadists get a pass now because of what delusional American Christians have done in the past? And do these "delusional" Am. Xians get a pass because of events that transpired in a more distant past?

No beth, NONE should get a pass!! Americans blow up children EVERY year.  It isn't distant. No passes should be given. It's horrible, but what can we do that won't result in more deaths?

I'm no expert, peeples, but I feel when the rest of the world stops making excuses for the "rights" of anyone to commit atrocities in the name of their god(s), this will be a good start.

You are right beth, but sadly we live in a world where everyone needs to prove their God is the right one and they use that god to justify their want to control everyone else instead of working towards peace and cohabitation.

As a non-Christian, I think the delusion is people thinking 'Americans' believe God wants or permits them to rape and sell little baby girls after slaughtering their families, throw gays off buildings etc. They don't - islamic terrorists do.

ISIS makes (repeats) the mistakes of Adolf Hitler. ISIS does not know the fate of Hitler? Islamic State thinks that strength is cruelty. ISIS can kill millions of Christians (one after the other) because Christians are weak, Christians, women, and children do not have power. Putin and Trump can destroy ISIS if they will want it. I invented the formula of the Earthly Paradise. The Kremlin has refused this invention. Russians don`t need Paradise!!! Absolute strength is the ability to make any attack! Absolute strength is invulnerability. I want to explain for ISIS one simple thing. If you will create Paradise on Earth you will be the strongest State (country, nation, community) in the world 2000 years! Nobody will attack you - all of humanity will defend Paradise! Any person in the world will fight for Paradise.
