I like my eggs sunny side up because I like to dip my toast in them.

It's funny that you ask this question. I recently discovered a new way to cook eggs, well new to me. I have been smoking eggs in my smoker. They come out like hey have been hard boiled, but with a great smokey flavor. You can eat them as is or make a variety of dishes out of them. I am actually going to write a hub about it. It's my new favorite way to do eggs and I have some on the smoker right now as a matter of fact.

After side effects from a fluoroquinolone I read about how to get the most nutritional benefit from eggs. I began steaming them to the point of looking soft boiled along with spinach and curry. Yum.

I like my eggs three different ways; over easy, scrambled with garlic powder, red pepper and paprika. In in an omelet; with jalapenos, sausage and cheese.

I like my eggs scrambled and cooked until dry, steam-poached (yolks broken), fried (yolks broken and turned over--cooked on both sides), and hard boiled plain or in egg salad.

I cannot STAND the flavor or texture of runny yolks.  It turns my stomach.

Love omelettes especially cheese ans tomato, scrambled or poached. If it is fried I prefer the egg turned over and the yolk not runny.

When I was a kid and my father took us to a restaurant for breakfast my father would always say to the waitress when she asked that question.

    "Lookin at me"

Then, invariably she would say "How?"

He'd say again, "Lookin at me." staring at her like she should know what that means.

The waitress would always say tentatively, O, OK, take the menus and then bring him his eggs sunny side up. I don't know to this day if the waitresses knew what he meant but I suspect they just guessed not wanting to engage conversation with the weirdo.

Like father like son, "lookin at me" was the way I ordered my eggs because it reminded me of him. But I always had to explain it means sunny side up. I then realized it was a good way to engage conversation with the waitress and sort of break the ice for a little flirtation. Dad must have known this, but what he didn't get was at his age it was just weird.

After dad died I changed my preference to "over light."

Wiser.....Despite the fact that "they" (whoever they are) have gone back & forth for decades on the health benefits and/or ramifications of the little innocent hen egg.....I like eggs & enjoy them within reason if I damned well please..  Hard boiled, like my attitude now & then~ deviled, like the trouble I get into~ scrambled, similar to my thoughts most times, omelets with lots of stuff thrown in, resembling my numerous junk drawers, over easy, the same way I react to insults and even poached, which my children have done to my bank account..............Here's to the incredible, edible EGG.

Well, I love eggs!  Give them to me scrambled with cheese please!  I'll also take them poached with hollandaise sauce on top!  Deviled eggs, hard-boiled in a salad, turned into an omelet, over-easy, or fried, yummy!  But I do not like them pickled or soft-boiled.

I like dippy ecks, because I am Pennsylvania Dutch, and that is what we call then when they are over easy, soft-boiled eggs.
