What would be the best title?
What would be the best title for each of the following hub scenarios / stories?
1.A story about your child and how he learned about proper care and feeding of the family dog. The child calls the dog, Moky, because he cannot pronounce the name Smoky - the family thinks the nickname is very cute.
2. An evergreen article on the changing seasons in your own backyard, which involves birds, small wild critters, changes of the tree leaf colors - and how much you enjoy sitting on your patio taking each season in.
3. The most important thing you learned about art in sixth grade from Mrs Baker.
I would tend to look for keywords that I could use. These are phrases that searchers use to find articles. For instance, for number 3, there is a search phrase of "art classes for kids" that gets over 4,000 searches a month, so i might choose a title of "Mrs Baker's art classes for kids", or "life lesson from art classes for kids", or "best art tip from art classes for kids".
For number 1, "dog facts for kids" was the best search phrase I could find, with 1300 searches a month, so I might choose a title of "Moky's dog facts for kids", written from the dog's point of view, or "Booby's top ten dog facts for kids", written from "Bobby's" point of view, or whatever your child's name is.
I couldn't really find many searches about backyard seasons, so i tried garden seasons and there are over 6000 searches a month for "garden planner". If you just want to talk about how much you enjoy watching the seasons change, you could call it "seasonal view for the garden planner".
Wow ! very clever titles. You did well on that, RoadMonkey.
The Family Dog - Teaching Your Kids About Care Patio Life - Through the Seasons Art with Mrs. Baker
Thank you for contributing to Q&A. I like "Patio Life - Through the Seasons".
1.) Our Child and Man's Best Friend, Moky - (Smoky)
2.) I Watch My Faithful Evergreen and Animals Through the Seasons
3.) My Memories of Art from Mrs. Baker in 6th Grade
i am not good at title, but here are my suggestion:
1. How do kids care for pets
2. The seasons of my backyard
3. A lesson to learn from Mrs Baker
Thanks, Peachy. #2 is the title I would use, without 'The'. It clearly defines what the article is about.
gee, thanks, I never thought you would choose my #2 title, so HAPPY!
My Titles would be:
1. My son and Smoky
2. Embracing or enjoying the colourful seasons passing at my backyard.
3. Lessons learnt from Mrs Baker's art classes in sixth grade.
1. Moky, Dog whispers
2. Paradise in my Backyard
3. Arts in my younger days
I love thinking up titles, Phyllis, but they may not always be SEO savvy. Nevertheless, here are my ideas:
1. Teach Your Child Pet Care
2. Enjoying Your Yard Through the Seasons
3. A Valuable Lesson in Art
The last one gave me the most trouble (I must have revised it about nine times).
Thank you for the exercise and have a nice day!
Well thank you for a great response, Marie. Your titles are very well worded to explain what the article is about and would do very well in SEO.

I thought that the order of keywords in a Title did not matter and likewise that the order of keywords entered for a Google Search did not matter. However when you do a search for - Green Tea Health Benefits (A) - and for - Health Benefits of Green Tea (B) - both without quotes the results are...

I keep seeing people making these mistakes so I thought I'd just point them out:1. When doing a search for keywords make sure you select "exact" not "broad." Broad brings in any keyword searches that feature your keywords ANYWHERE in the search sentence. Exact will match how...
