Do you display the American Flag at your home on Memorial Day and other appropriate days?

We always try to be mindful to display our flag on Memorial Day and other such appropriate days in memory of those lives who serve and/or served our country and gave all.  Thank you for answering.

Hi Kevin, you can always display the smaller ones easily found at any store if you wanted to do so.  Happy Memorial Day.  We are having glorious weather.  Bless you

I understand and believe me, I do it all the time ... we are just human, but when we see it, we cringe when others may not even notice a thing.  Enjoy your day.  It is gorgeous here!  Peace and love to you

I have two mini American flags on either side of a planter I have hung on one side of the arch leading to my front door. They stay there year-round.

I'm forever grateful to our service men and women, therefore I honor them every day by flying our flag.

My father made a career of the Air Force, as have many of my uncles. Their belief in our country and putting their lives on the line to ensure our freedom has not gone unnoticed. I owe my life to them. They may not see my flags from where they are across this country (and those who have now passed) but anyone who drives down my street knows I have deep appreciation for our military.

That is awesome, dear Sha!  Yes, I think we should honor them year-round too.  My dad was in the U.S. Army and my husband in the Air Force, plus countless of other family and friends who served.  Amen, dear heart.  Thank you for caring so deeply!

Notice the only things living in my planter are the American flags! I'm soooo behind in gardening.

Woo hoo, dear Paula!  Yes, let it fly all year, I say too.  My dad served in Korea and Viet Nam and came back with terrible PTSD, back then they were not really talking about it, he suffered.  It broke my heart.  God bless America. I love your Heart!

Theresa...I can't believe you said that!!  My Dad, bless his heart suffered from the same, which as you said was not identified as PTSD....they just called it a "break down."  We all went through a lot in those days.

My dad flew in Nam, too. He didn't suffer from PTSD, but he's been in a nursing home for three years now with emphysema. He quit smoking years ago. I just wonder if those one-seater fighter jets he flew had something to do with it.

Hi Paula & Sha, yes, we all went through some stuff. As our Dusty (50 Caliber) called it shellshock when he commented on my poem about being A Soldier's Child. It makes me cry each time I read it. I have it highlighted for this weekend. God bless

Because I live on an upper floor of a New York City high-rise apartment building, I am not allowed to display the Stars 'n Stripes out doors.

However, a rather sizeable US flag is displayed in my man-cave 24/7/365.

I love the United States of America and I am very glad that I am one of its citizens.

Theresa, this is what is called "Fleet Week" in NYC. There is a whole armada of US Navy ships docked on the edge of the city in the Hudson River, and thousands of uniformed Sailors and Marines can be seen all over town. I am proud to be an American.

Oh, really, feenix!  That is awesome and what a sight to behold.  God bless them all.  I am proud to be an American too and living in the land of the free and home of the brave, as the song goes.

Yes, I like being patriotic. I don't mind displaying the flag. It shows that we appreciate our country and also the men and women that gave their lives fighting for it no matter what the circumstances were. My dad, brother, cousin, friend and countless others known to me fought in various wars. I'm dedicated to memorializing them for their service to this country. We appreciate those who have been wounded and those who continue to serve today.

Absolutely! I leave a flag wrapped on a pole and the pole holder hooked to the house all year Long so when the holiday comes, I just bring it out and at the end of the day I put it away.

We have out flag out all the time.  We have a light on it so it can stay out at night too.  Being in a family of veterans and a current National Guardsman I want to show them all our support 24/7.
