Say, for whatever reason, all technology was "unavailable" (you couldn't use your PC, phone, TV etc.), what would you do right now?

We've been without electricity for a week now (ok, so we bought a generator). But that means co-ordination in terms of when PCs can be used etc. It's bought some order into my work-life actually which is probably a good thing and, I've been getting more fresh air and doing more exercise!

So, what would you do if your PC suddenly went down now (and your phone, TV etc.)? I'd go for a walk.

Without technology, it'll be a bit difficult but lot more better. At least we will get the chance to go back t nature, wal again instead of sitting in front of the TV or PC, we would eat health food on natural fire, we'd do many healthy things, we can even read more...

I would have a nice stroll in the park, followed by lunch at a small village pub. Then home to read a book that I have been putting off reading. Spend some quality time with my family.

How much does it cost in Petrol to keep your generator going?

Since i live in Cape Town, South Africa, we go through power failures and shortages alot. They are busy rebuilding the power station that supplies the city so it gets really messy here at times. I hate it !

I'd have a lined pad of paper handy for writing (either business writing or personal writing), and I'd probably have more telephone conversations than I do now.  smile

My work is mainly in front of the computer and often alone, which I hate.  So, I would go to a place where there are a lot of people, just to say "hi", pass the time of day, anything.

I'd write letters, ink on paper, and snail mail them.  I miss opening envelopes and seeing stamps and writing by hand. cool
