   I don´t think so. I go to whatever church that is as long as it is not close for me to attend to.

   Your question should read, "Is it wrong for a Catholic to attend a Protestant church"?
   Catholics are Christians just as much as protestants are.
   Sorry you are so confused about that along with many others.
   And yes, it is ok to attend any church you want to go to.

      Most Catholics, when asked if they are Christian, will say that they are Catholic. Also, there are Christian denominations that are not Protestant: LDS, Unitarian, Eastern Orthodox.

      I can only speak about my personal faith, with is Lutheran.  Lutherans hold Mary in high esteem, but they do not pray "directly" to her for intercession between us and God.  Yet, she has a soul full of grace, and is praised for that.

   I was raised Catholic, and as a young person, I attended services with friends at Methodist and Lutheran churches, and a Jewish temple. It was really interesting to attend, and then talk about the differences in the services, and ask questions about the meanings of various things I experienced that were different than Catholic mass. My parents were all for it, although they did balk at first at the idea of me attending dances with my Mormon friends at the local stake.
   
   I think attending a variety of churches is a wonderful thing.

      When i was young, I had attended a christian church. It was totally different from our catholic church. All they talk about is Jesus, Jesus and Jesus, no Virgin mary and no God. Why?

      I can respond to the "no talk about Virgin Mary" question.  In a non-Catholic Christian Church, we do not pray to Mary.  We only pray to God, and usually add "in the name of Jesus" - which is a reference to John 14:13.

   It's absolutely fine.  I (Lutheran) have attended Catholic services, and my Catholic friends have attended my church services.  There are a few minor differences in how things are run, e.g., Non-Catholic Christian churches do not have "confessionals" and we don't light candles, and a few other differences in ritual.  But it is the same Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  If you are still worried, just call the pastor in advance and get his or her  viewpoint.

      It is not me. My brother who has OCD, had turned to christian church instead of our catholic church. He is saying negative things about catholic church now. bad ones

      I am sorry that is happening, peachy.  I am certain that the Pastor a the Christian Church would not approve of that behavior.  You may want to speak to him or her.

      Oh I tried, he said that I am one of the bunch lousy scums of Catholics. He said Christians are the holiest. So sad. How did the pastor teach him??

   I always thought catholics were considered Christians too.  As long as you believe in Jesus Christ and that He was born to a virgin named Mary, and they was crucified and came back to life 3 days later, and follow His teachings, then you are a Christian.  The catholic church does that.  I am not catholic, but my husband is and I know that for sure.  The catholic church isn't as strict with it's rules are they were once.  We got married in my church by my pastor and it was ok'd by his priest and that was 45 years ago.

      I got a bad experience from a christian when I was young. My classmate is a christian while I am a catholic, she said that Virgin Mary was a whore, a bitch who gave birth to Jesus Christ. That is why christians do not pray to Virgin mary.

      Peachy, I am sad that you got a distorted view of Christian Churches.  While we do not pray to the Virgin Mary, she is still considered a holy person.  We sing positive songs about her at Christmas (e.g., Silent Night).  Your classmate is misguided.

      That is why I am negative about Christian or protestant churches. How could my classmate said such an awful word against Virgin Mary?? Anyway, until now, she still insisted that Jesus mother is a whore. So mad at her (my friend)

   I don't think that would be a problem.  As somebody else says that a Catholic believes the same as a Christian, maybe they have different versions of the Bible.  I have run across a Catholic or two who say that only Catholics are the only Christians.  But then there are some Christians who may say that the Catholic Church is a cult.  But that is just a handful.  The only difference I can see are in the church services.  A Catholic mass follows a set a rituals, maybe they might be different from mass to mass.  A Christian mass may be more informal-depending on the type of church you go to.  I belong to the First Assembly of God which is a Pentecostal church and focuses more on Jesus Christ and Bible Study

   I know it is common for Christians of different denominations to attend other churches at the requests of family or friends. My husband and I are Lutherans from the Missouri Synod, we will sometimes attend other churches during the holidays or when there is a family gathering, however we do not participate in Communion at other churches. The LCMS practices closed Communion, meaning we do not Commune those whom we are not in full agreement with in doctrine. I understand that many Catholic Churches practice closed Communion as well.
   
   I do not believe it is wrong for you to attend a church of another denomination, but I would think twice before receiving Communion. When you Commune with a church you are stating that you agree with their beliefs and there are many differences in Catholic and Protestant beliefs.
