To HP Team, why wouldn't the Hubbie Award accolade have a number over it like the others?
The Hubbie Award accolade is the most meaningful accolade being it is our peers who vote. I noticed that all accolades, which would make sense to have a number, do have a number. I'm curious why wouldn't the Hubbie Award accolade have a number too? Thank you for answering.
To HP Team.
Not sure about number on Hubbie Award but due to the long hours and efforts that each writer puts in as well as your receipt of advertising revenue on our pages, wouldn't it be considerate to offer something more than just awards?
I find it interesting that everything I research on the web whether it is a vacation or whatever, ends up as an advertisement on my page. I don't have a problem with that because I understand how the internet works.
This is just a suggestion. My husband's company does something interesting for their workers each year. His company set aside a certain amount of money that is given to each employee just to say "thank you for your hard work," even if the amount is as little as $2.00. It is the thought that counts not whether we are employed by you but that your company want every writer to know that they are appreciated in some kind of way.
Anyone with thousands of readers beyond hubpages, who has worked for more than one year deserve something, don't you think? I also understand that our followers are so much more than what hubpages list because they come in on twitter, facebook, linkedin, etc. I guess listing our real amount of followers is impossible?
An award from our peers has a certain opportunity to be tainted because hubs they read and like, I may not appreciate as much. We also see the problem of the voting process in our political system today. Imperfection and preference will always be different. Therefore, some writers may never receive this type of award. We must try to consider that even a small acknowledgement can be a true source of inspiration for some hard working individuals. I truly understand that we are not employees but a small token of appreciation can mean more than you imagine.
Just something for you to consider. Please don't attempt to punish me by advertising insulting comments or websites about my religious beliefs. Each of us have thousands of readers we must respect and appreciate as well.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Claudette for directing your comments to the HP Team. This particular accolade is from our peers and not from HP management that is why it is the best one in my mind. Just wondering why there isn't a number like other accolades.
I understand. Thanks for your response.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about rewarding writers with more than accolades. I hope they are listening.
What number would you want to see, Faith? How many Hubbie Awards the winners received? Or how many Hubbers voted for them?
I'm not sure I follow your question.
Hi Sha, just the number of Hubbie Awards like they do other accolades is all. Just curious why there isn't a number like all else.

HubPages accolades for sale?If you could purchase a HubPages accolade that you have not yet earned, which accolade would you buy and how much would you be willing to pay?

Why isn't there an accolade for best comments ever?Hubpages wants us to be more active here as well as writing hubs. Imagine the amount of comments that would be made if Hubpages awarded us for comments. I like commenting but it takes away from the time to write hubs. Writing hubs makes money....
