Year 2019 could indeed be prosperous. It might even provoke me into adding back some new hubs.
I can officially report that as of today I have doubled my earnings from last year. I was hoping this would happen but didn't think it would when the glitch showed up, but somehow it has...so I'm a happy camper (pardon the pun).
I was curious after reading your post and went back to check my earnings against last year. I have made more than twice what I did in 2017 too.
I guess that makes me a happy camper too (even if I do not own an RV!)
I totally agree! November and December are the slowest months of the year for the gardening niche. Despite that, I have made payout this month. Since I have more than a few Christmas related hubs, I'm confident of making payout in December also. This is the first year in all of my years on HP (11 years) that I have made payout at the end of the year.
Awesome, yeah, my gardening hubs are doing better than last year too. But I lost on other hubs. Overall income is +5 -10% more year on year. Summer was 500% more year on year.
Yes, do it! Optimism is the best choice.
I keep adding new hubs, and I keep making more money. Seems to work just that way.
Yes, looking really good right now. Hope it holds into the new year. Hey, I might be inspired as well to add something new. Hope to hit 100 articles one day.
I might make it back to 10. Getting harder and harder to find topics with earnings potential these days.
I find that it's best to keep my expectations low and just keep truck-truck-truckin' along. Lately I've been pleasantly surprised.
Yeah. I'm generally detached from the whole thing for the remainder of the year, low expectations and all that. However, come January, this quote will probably apply to me.
"I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert."
Just about to hit four figures. Best month's earnings ever. Thank you HP.
And payout best ever so far. The way things have progressed over the last couple of years has been beyond expectation.
CPM is the highest also at the moment that it has been for years.
Looks to me like we've gotten past the doom and gloom. I've likewise already hit payout for this month. And as for last month, I just got the usual PayPal-HubPages fan mail.
I got paid more today than ever before. To clarify, I guess I should say that in the past NINE years, I didn't always put much effort into it. The last 3 years I have put real effort into this stuff.
Next month is looking very good, but will not likely be my second highest payout, maybe my 3rd highest though.
I've never been so happy as I am right now with the Hubpages network. The times I was unhappy with the place had more to do with me being a moron, than anything else.
I used to think that if I started a page in the morning, then I should be done with the thing in an hour or two. That was my problem with this whole deal. Impatience.
I'm no bigshot around here. I'm just saying what has made me more successful is that now I will spend a week thinking about how and what I'm going to say about a thing.
I can only submit one thing every two weeks, so why not spend two weeks thinking about what to put into a page, and what to leave out?
I just wish I was more serious when I started here. I'd be well past ten million views by now.
Thanks for this positive post. This isn't my best month of the year, but it isn't my worst, and overall, I have more than doubled my earnings from last year! Thanks for getting me to check that.
I did far better last year. I was making like 4-5x the amount of views & 7x at the peak. Earnings are only about 1/8 of what they were last year. I suppose some of my work has been mostly all for nothing. And my views are only 10% of what they were compared to 2011 which was my highest success. Google is really making me disappointed. The algorithms and what not.
The internet is huge, but I don't know of any other sites like this. Constant Content was super strict when I wrote for them. And not much passive earning potential on there unless you write 1000 articles, get them approved, and sell them all. Basically a ghost writer there.
I agree, there is no other place like HubPages. I have written for many different companies, and on many different platforms over the past 10 years of active online writing. HubPages suits me best. I need the flexibility in level of commitment. I like the variety of content. I like the openness of the process. I enjoy the community. I don't "talk" much, but I am often on the forums. I've been here a while.
I have been writing on Hubpages since 2008, I think. My collection of articles has followed many of the trends over time. I was here when we were all creating compeltely keyword-based articles with multiple Amazon Capsules--back when volume was key. I never made a huge amount of money that way. I remember hopping hubs, the "first" Google algorithm change, and black hat/white hat debates in the forums. Now, I have a fraction of the number of articles I used to have... And each one earns many times more than the ones I had out there before.
I am happy with the improvements. My earnings have increased. I am more proud of my articles now,
I sincerely hope HubPages stays around for a good while longer. It offers a rare combination of qualities that I have not seen anywhere else.
EDIT: Since 2010. :-)
Yeah. The new-ish quality standards caused me to ...no, more like forced me, to take a lot more pride in my work. So the end result is I don't look at things and blush for how bad they are so much any more.
Hubpages is doing well these days just to still be viable. Props.

My HP traffic down since last three to four days and it's a matter of great concern for me. I have already written 50 hubs for the contest but still I am not seeing the traffic that I was seeing post google algorithm change. Is there anyone else who is facing the same problems. I have started...

It's only the 20th of the Month, but my earnings for this month are already 10 times greater than what it was for April last year. It's also almost the highest ever (even though CPMs are half of what they were in December) It's mostly due to increased traffic and the CPMs (compared to last year). I...

Hello Everyone!I am curious as to how much you earn for the articles that you publish here in Hub Pages. I am a new "hubber" and I want to know everything that I need to know in this ecosystem. Thanks

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I have still not seen even .01 from HubPages. I have 18 hubs and have been on the site for over 6 weeks now. Do the articles take awhile to start earning money? I am just curious what other hubbers results have been (typically). Thanks!

Thanks mostly to the plague, my CPM dropped to more than half. I'm happy with the traffic as it hits more than 200 per day, but my earnings are smaller than ever.
